With so many opt outs of HM bigs, I have to think there's a strong chance we hear Castro's name called on draft night.

Slim would be the 3rd GW player drafted in the First 2 rounds of The NBA Draft in the last 65 years

The nba mock drafts mean nothing, but nice to see whoever wrote this one thinks so highly of Slim that he has him going 36th to the Clippers.

Would be awesome to see him drafted top 36 as most of those guys go on to have good NBA careers.

The Slim NBA stock seems to be continually on the rise

Officially signed today

Welcome to GW, Andrew Phillips!

🏛️ Second-leading scorer at Lafayette in 2025-26 with 13.9 ppg
🏛️ Knocked down 65 3s last year and is a career 35% shooter from deep

Again would expect at GW his 3 % more effective as he was a complimentary piece, than last year pressed to be more of a primary focus of the offense

Saw Phillips multiple times over his three years at Lafayette when they played AU. Tough kid who'll take and make big shots. But definitely better suited to being a third or fourth option offensively than needing to carry the load. Struggled last year after Laffy lost a couple of their good young players to the portal.

Good insights

Lot of these do have Slim being drafted and his stock continues to rise

For 2 years at GW he looked every part of the future NBA player, every NBA team features a guy or 2 with the Slim skillset

A good article on Deng from the Adelaide 36ers site

He also absorbed any and all advice on offer around his future, as he weighed up where to go to college in the US.
“A couple of players were telling me to go to a place that you want to stay for four years and develop,” Manyang explained, “because after college, you're going to become a pro anyways so you might as well go to a place you want to play and get the most enjoyment out of it.
“There was some advice around just playing, because being a DP, not playing much sucks, but it's the pros so it was going to happen no matter what.
“I don't want to go to college and sit. I want to play and enjoy basketball and play the game I love. So just playing, that was probably their biggest advice.”
It’s advice Manyang has taken very seriously, and he patiently explored his options - including offers from a couple of “big schools” - before he opted to commit to George Washington University this week.

Very intriguing addition.  Looks like a potential very high ceiling player

Lot of good transfers remaining

Here's a guy who could be an intriguing addition

Tijan Saine Jr., 5-foot-10 junior guard, Weber State
A Division-II walk-on turned Big Sky scoring champion, Saine Jr. is as adaptable as they come. The transfer point guard operated Weber State’s offense, leading the team in points (17.5 per game) and assists (4.3) on the way to all-conference honors. He was also the team’s most reliable free throw shooter (89 percent). Saine Jr. is scrappy and undersized, but physical — as a junior, he racked up steals and thrived on fast breaks.

Forme UMASS star Jaylen Curry is another one who could be a great addition

Slim is headed to the NBA Draft combine G-League Camp May 8-10th:

The three-day event provides NBA Draft prospects with the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of NBA  scouts, coaches, and front-office executives. Participants will take part in five-on-five games as well as strength and agility drills. A select number of players from the draft-eligible group will earn invitations to the AWS NBA Draft Combine 2026 later in the week, based on their performance

Game 6 in Toronto, Jamison drills a 3 upon entering the game propelling His team into the lead.

Playing a pivotal role in this playoff series, could be headed for a game seven

Meanwhile the Knicks jumped out to a 72-22 lead and #1 seed Detroit major peril down at the half by 22 down 3-2 in the series

76ers pushing Boston to game 7, pretty wild first round of the Eastern conference playoffs!

Had the field been 76 this year Lunardi projected the follow teams in

Lunardi (men's): Oklahoma, Auburn, San Diego State, New Mexico, Indiana, Stanford, Cincinnati, Seton Hall

He added:

the bubble has consisted primarily of mediocre power-conference members along with high-end contenders from mid-major leagues such as the Atlantic 10, Mountain West, American and West Coast Conference. We can also expect the reemerging Pac-12 to be part of the new at-large mix.

For better or worse, the days of Belmont or Middle Tennessee or Old Dominion earning at-large bids are likely gone
