My guess is Caputo might be heir apparent at Miami and that's been keeping him from moving to open jobs.

I'm not going to go out on a limb and say we should go all in bringing Karl Hobbs back. But he checks all the boxes in what I want for a coach. Someone with experience as an assistant at a successful high major, as a head coach with some success, and someone that can recruit and most importantly coach in games.

The big issue is how much will it cost to find someone like that.

GW Men's Hoops » Jameer Nelson Jr » 12/29/2020 12:33 pm

I'm not gonna lie, this one really hurts me. I'm a huge fan of Jameer's as a player and he's a great kid off the court too. He's still relatively new to playing basketball and the glimpses of greatness are there. He was clearly our best defender too. I had really high hopes when Christian came in, but I haven't seen the talent he's supposed to have. Sure he gets a pass for last year as a new coach with a new system, but 1-6 and losing talent like this, it's gotten really bad, really quick.

This discussion needs it's own topic. Why doesn't Coach Christian put men on the line during our free throws? I think it really cost us in at least the LaSalle and Richmond games.

The official fan group for GW athletics has rebranded itself "George's Army."
Now instead of being named for the Americans who against all odd rose up and defeated a tyrannical King, our Student section will now bear the name reflective of that tyrannical King
