Highly, highly doubt CC has any shot at the Miami. If he was next in line, why would he leave for a one or two year stint at GW in the first place? He would have just stayed at Miami. If he was already the heir apparent, going to another program, especially a middling one like GW, would only hurt his job prospects.

Uh-huh. One day you’re going to leave the college bubble and move on from that peri-college life, and you’re going to realize that that being offended by things like the word “Colonials” is not normal and is not a main-stream point of view of life.
And you know what? You’re going to feel relief and feel unburdened; I’m sure it’s got to be very stressful and distressing to be sincerely outraged constantly. I feel for you, brother.

What a bitter man you are
That’s rich coming from a person who is somehow offended and “bitter” over the term “Colonial” lol.

Hahaha, there’s less than a 0% chance of GW changing their nickname to the Generals. The first thing the pro-change freaks would say is that “Generals” celebrates US military that has systematically oppressed minorities for centuries. You give these lunatics an inch and they’ll take a mile.

It’s getting to the point where the average family can’t even afford to go grocery shopping, let alone drive to the grocery store, and yet all you weirdos can talk about is a riot almost two years ago. So, so, so pathetically out-of-touch. November can’t come soon enough.

Why do we have to always these no-name coaches with no history of winning? Why is it that places like URI can get Archie Miller, Iona can get Pitino, and UMass can get Frank Martin, while we get stuck with an assistant coach from Miami no one has ever heard of or, even worse, some guy with a .500 record at Siena. The one time we struck gold with this current strategy we fired him because he was a big meanie (and yet hired his inexperienced assistant, who was apparently present and did nothing to stop this “abuse,” as his replacement…like wtf?)
I’d absolutely love for GW to hire a guy who has a proven record of winning at the highest level of the game- a guy like Turgeron or even JT3, but I know that’ll never happen. Instead we’ll be stuck with some no-name assistant from Miami or UVA.
Year after year, I lose more and more connection to my alma mater. In fact, I will absolutely donate to my medical school university’s athletic fund (and buy season tickets, apparel, etc) way, way before than I contribute a penny to GW, which quite sad. At the very least, I know they have a strong commitment to winning no matter the cost, which I certainly can’t say for GW.
