With the UMES game out of the way, how about that 4-8 run through the OOC schedule? It could be worse (some team lost three games in that JCC gym in Naples) and the showing against College Park CC was not too bad at the time, although if we had known the Twerps were readying to show their coach out the door would it have been as encouraging? My preseason expectations were not high, but even I though there would be one or two more wins.
It is clear we are watching a deeper, more talented team than we were stuck with last season. And when things are clicking this team is fun to watch. But 4-8 against an unipressive roster of opponents does not aliviate the feeling of dread I get when I think of the A-10 schedule. If it happens and even if fans are allowed to attend (two very real uncertainties in these uncertain times), I am not sure GW fans will want to block off too many days for the conference tourney, again. Sigh. (and please, no rehashing of past coaching changes, this is the team we have now and crying over spilt milk won´t change that).
