The problem is that they have quit on the Court. The announcers have pretty much said so regarding their effort.

We keep doing the same thing offensively and they keep exploiting us defensively.
Put in the walking to at least show defensive effort.

It is not just the allowing 74% shooting while going 7-24 from the floor. It is also 7 turnovers and 15-9 rebound defecit.

GW is just wildly inconsistent. The Davidson game showed me we can beat anyone in the A10, but games like today (and there has been a lot of them) show me that they can also lose to (or get blown out by) anyone in the A10.

Why at this point in the season has no one told Dean not to leave his feet on defense, especially when he is challenging someone shooting a three? And why is he covering the three point shooter in the first place?

That was bad. Since this is not on USA Network, we won´t even have the pleasure of rugby highlights during halftime (and the France-Ireland game was really good). This team/program still has a mountain to climb, having gone over some molehills has not made GW conquerers. Hopefully this is the last downhill performance and ends up being viewed as glitch and not a warning, but I fear it is the later.

Difference between Dayton and Davidson is toughness, size, and athletes for Dayton. Davidson has great coach and a system that he finds players that work in it. GW can’t compete with Dayton’s of the world when you really have 5 max high major athletes, less quickness, little size, and debatable toughness. Effort can always be shown. Talent is obvious. Lack of effort is not acceptable. Even if you are short handed on talent you can play hard and not jog back on D after turnovers or missed shots. Gutless effort.
