Thank You James Bishop

James Bishop's decision to return to GW, turning down a lot of Power 5 offers is going to make this transition a lot more fun to watch than what it would have been with him

He was a lot of fun to watch last night-

Freeman and JoeBam bolted, as is their right, but kudos to James Bishop staying with GW and to Caputo and staff for retaining Bishop and most of the rest of the squad.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Dude, what Power 5 offers did he have? He never went in the portal to my knowledge. So he couldn't have had any Power 5 offers. The decision for James was whether to go overseas and try to make money. That will likely be his choice again this Spring.

But I do agree he stuck it out which is admirable.

To be fair to the Dude, Patsos said on the broadcast that JB was fielding multiple P5 offers but decided to stay at GW.  Jimmy could've been confusing JB with Lindo too.

You can't offer someone unless they go in the portal. Jimmy knows that lol. You will come to learn that Jimmy knows a lot. Unfortunately some of it doesn't square with reality lol.

Is that what Pastos was saying? I know he was making noise with his vocal chords, but it mostly sounded like the backward masking on a 80´s heavy metal album.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Yeah, as noted above was referencing Patsos comments on air last night about multiple Power 5 offers

Do agree it was admirable and very thankful for his decision to stay with GW!

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Good research.
Fascinating that Adama Kah achieved a lot at a comparatively young age for that level.
A GW player who not only made it hard for other teams to inbound the ball, but someone
whose accomplishments we can be real proud of.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Didn't see "in bound pass disrupter" anywhere on Adama Kah's profile.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

It's going to be a fun year.
We are already bickering and spreading fake news about a cellar dweller A-10 team who just beat a bad D-3 and bad D-2 team.
Things will get even funnier when we win the rest of our cupcake opponents before having to face the A-10.
Some here will have us penciled in as a top 4 seed in the tourney!
Raise High!

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Bishop has 1 more year, after this year, of eligibility, correct?

Re: Thank You James Bishop

For a guy who claims to live four blocks from the Smith Center and is a season ticket holder, The Dude certainly knows a lot about the gentlemen who call our home games on ESPN+.  Loves Byron Kerr, could not stand David Earl, and now a Jimmy Patsos reference.  He seemingly has something to say about them or makes a reference attributed to them after each home game.  Interesting.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

The Dude likely lives nowhere near Smith Center ... I think we all know that. California would be my guess. Just a hunch.

Re: Thank You James Bishop

Glad for James who was absolutely in the zone, but think and hope he'd rather have a win and less points.
