This is a big win for non-Power Five schools (and student athletes)
Having recently watched a friend's son go through the recruiting process, I truly believe this is great news. Having to choose from only five official visits meant eliminating smaller or less successful programs if a student was being recruited by Power Five conference programs.
Prospects no longer restricted to 5 official visits, limited to 1 official visit per school - The Athletic

Sounds good but this probably doesn't really benefit anyone. There is a limit (time) as to how many official visits one can go on anyway since in most cases travel is involved and official lasts 24 hours - school seasons, classes, and other constraints come into play. Probably 95% of kids don't want to go on more than 5 officials anyway. And a kid who has 5 officials lined up at P5 schools is unlikely to take a 6th at a MM or LM.
