Dayton is locked in, haven't seen a single bracket where they are even in the play in games.
What a comeback for Yale to beat Brown, Brown nearly pulled off 2 incredible upsets back to back of teams 100-150 spots ahead of them
JoeBam is worth 2-3 incredible highlights a game, lot of steals too

Dude - may want to have a look at arguably the 2nd most popular bracket.. Jerry Palm over at CBS Sports. Take your time, you still have a few hours.

The confetti is released with 18 minutes left in the game as the ball is in play in the A10 championship. Incredible. No notes
Not since Chaney went after Calapari in the press room (or was it vice versa?) has a single moment so loudly proclaimed "THIS IS THE ATLANTIC 10!"

Congratulations to Duquesne!!! First championship since 1977!!!
Online!
Duquesne beats VCU to win the A10 championship and steal a bid! Incredible they were able to hang on when they only scored 5 points in nearly 13 minutes in the 2nd half.
Bamisile with almost half of VCUs points but went 0-8 from three.

That's pretty wild. I bet DU's A-10 historical winning percentage is lower than GW's. Which just makes it even more infuriating. WHY NOT GW?
Another amazing A-10 season in the books. Fire Bernadette already.

JoeBam nearly carried VCU to the Tourney with a great game and their only guy really looking to score
But The Dukes do it! 47 year streak snapped
Two years ago The Dukes were 6-24 and 1-16 in the A10, and yet they stayed the course with Dambrot and now they are Dancing.

Yes, why not GW? There are surprisingly only two teams currently in the conference with more A10 tournament championships than GW: UMass (5) and St. Joes (4).

Duquesne seems like it is about to fold, at one point lead down to 1 point against their own bad shooting
and an aggressive VCU half court defense.
But then the good guys hold on, increase their lead to five or six with less than a minute and get the win.
Dambrot and Dukes deserve it.
On Dayton, hard to argue with their 23 NET rating as announcers note and predict, but anytime NCAA can screw the A-10 and other non-P5 schools they can.

Happy for Duquesne. An original Eastern 8 member (who left for one year then returned) hasn't dance since I think they said 77. Shame we couldn't pull that last one out against them, on the road.

Go Dukes. Wait till next year.

JoBam was 7-7 from 2, 0-8 from 3.

JoeBam 20 points 6-7 from the line 3 blocks 2 steals he was the best guy on the court for VCU even though missed his 3s several of which were late and in desperation mode
His length and quickness are very impactful two things GW needs to get much better at.
VCU which always looks longer and quicker than their opponent outside of Joe didn't really.
Dayton 3-4 Quad 1 and Top 25 NET should be no worse than a nine seed but we'll find out in about 90 minutes

And here it is, your moment of zen...

8 at large bids for non-P6 teams is better than recent years. Interview with committee member confirmed A10 would have been a 1 bid league if Dayton had won the tourney.
Offline
5 Seed Gonzaga
7 Seed Dayton
So much for bubble teams
Bids: A10 2 teams
Big East 3 teams

Duquesne given the same 11 seed we got in 2007. Hopefully they fare a little better than we did vs Vandy.

Great comeback by Howard, DC’s only rep in this year’s tournament. Too bad they couldn’t hit that final shot despite getting 3 attempts…

Virginia embarrassing the committee.
I mean, thank goodness they didn’t put the team who is #1 in the nation in effective FG% in the tourney because watching Virginia fail to score for 13 minutes is way better. We all know a mediocre ACC team is better than an MVC team that gets few chances to impress while winning 30 games in incredible fashion.
