What did we learn by playing without Jun? Maybe some new substitution patterns? Hope he comes back soon but maybe we have some more lineup flexibility?

I was wrong, we didn't blow it. Looking forward to being there for St. Louis. Looked like a fairly good sized crowd despite school not is session.

Great resilience- Dayton came out hard and had all the momentum. Great job by coaches and players of remaining calm and executing

What a win!! Incredible shot making and defense and I am beyond shocked we won that game. Agreed on the points about Hansen's performance. I think he was instrumental. THIS is why I love college basketball. 100% the best win of Caputo's tenure

Lots of story lines for this great team effort! Still don’t know what to make of impact of Jun’s injury. Do know Castro and Hansen played their asses off. Gerald and Christian were smooth as silk. I give the game ball to Autry…6 of 6 field goals, 3 for 3 from 3, 2 of 2 foul line, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 0 turnovers, plus finished strong at the hoop in crunch time. Happy for CC…way to go coach!

I said I’d be pleasantly surprised if GW won by more than 19.5 and sure enough we won by 20!
What an outstanding performance. Everyone competed so hard on defense and the boards, we mostly took care of the ball, we made shots, and we weathered their run and their fan advantage.
We are truly their bogey team.

Any links to a Dayton message board? Thanks!

I can't believe what I'm witnessing! WOW!
Jones & Drumgoole are something not to mention the inside work of Castro & Hansen.
Not turning the ball over & the defensive effort are totally unexpected! How did they do that?
Bottle it & save it!!!!

What a great win! Having three different guys shooting well from outside really opened up the paint, and everyone was taking advantage by driving to the basket. Best defensive performance by a Caputo team to date as well. Hats off to everyone for putting the Richmond loss behind them and playing a great game!

This will change by the end of the day, but on KenPom, the 20 point win catapulted us up to 120 (from 141) and dropped Dayton from 33 to 47.
120 is our highest rating since December 3, 2016 (we went into that day ranked 120, but a 1 point win over #292 South Florida dropped us lower and we never got that high again until now.). That was MoJo’s first year. Yuta must have been hurt that day because our starters included Ty Cavanaugh, Collin Smith, Jaren Sina, Arnaldo Toro, and Jordan Roland. Bo Ziegler was playing for USF.
Anyway, enough history digression, just happy for the team to crack the top 120 again - what a game.

Always a great day when you can send the visiting Dayton fans home sad!

Another shout out to the guards that fronted their big men following switched out front. They were aggressive and took a beating from the “overly” physical #23. But they held their own and prevented easy entry pass. Well done

Hail to the Buff! Hail to the Blue!!!
Did any of those who prediced that in A10 play GW would suffer teeth gnashing losses and pull a major upset predict that would happen in the first two games of A10 play?
Let´s be clear, that must have been Dayton´s worst outing all season (that, or anyone who thought they were an at-large team are smoking better stuff than I can get). Dayton´s play was so disjointed, there were times I asked myself if GW was the team wearing red.
But let´s also give GW all the credit it deserves. That was a good perfomance on both sides of the ball. When rebounding failed, putback shots were at least challenged. With all the huzzahs for Hansen, I finally saw DI level inside play from Castro today, too. And while that GW Fan Sense Of Dread siezed upon my soul in the first couple of mins of the second half, the team shrugged off Dayton´s run and went back to do what worked-- the opposite of the deer-in-the-headlights schtick we saw in the UR and AU losses. Also, whatever mutti/juju/witchcraft Drumgoole is using, please keep using it-- with these results I do not mind making a deal with the Devil! I agree with those calling this the best win of the Caputo era, now it remains to be seen if this is the watershed win of the Caputo era.

Amazing win!
They came back and we held firm and pulled away.
Everyone did their job. 9 contributors.
Christian set the tone in the first half shooting hot, helping us build the big lead we needed and playing tough.
Trey did a lot almost quietly or at least seemingly effortlessly. Gerald found his stroke--and did some little things. Castro came up big and showcased excellent defensive skills.
Hansen contributes so much to the flow when we pass. And hit a big 3, which he can.
All without Jun, who was really happy for his teammates.
We made the cliches come true. Next Man Up. Team Effort.
Everyone plays a role.
