Re: 2025 Conference Awards

Congrats to Rafael and congrats to Christian.

Not surprising to all but one poster here (aka the hype man). Castro was right outside the first team but was never a lock. Next year, hopefully, we will be talking about that..

Re: 2025 Conference Awards

There was certainly a compelling argument for Castro on First Team, Jones on All Defense Team, and potentially even Castro for Most Improved Player (apparently you don't need to have been in the league last year to be MIP)

But if you'd said before the season that Castro would get Second Team and All Defense while Jones got All Rookie, you'd surely be happy with that. Hopefully this lights a fire under the guys who feel they were snubbed for the tournament

Re: 2025 Conference Awards

A few shockers:

Brown ahead of his teammate Reynolds on the first team?

Sebastian Thomas on the 3rd team?  Great, now he's angry.

Jimerson on the first team is your Lifetime Achievement.  And he certainly played like a first-teamer on Saturday.  But, not all season.

I was glad to see Santos on the 2nd team.  Did not think he deserved first team and thought he could have ended up there due to what his uniform says.

Re: 2025 Conference Awards

Will confess that I didn't watch a ton of SLU outside of GW, but I found Robbie Avila to be not nearly as good as advertised. For those who are better informed... was he deserving of the second team nomination?
