Tremendous Xavier vs Texas game with Xavier and Sean Miller coming out victorious, electric atmosphere.
Sean won 6 NCAA Tourney Games in a 3 year span in the A10, then won 13 more at Arizona, and took Xavier back to the Sweet 16 in his first year back there, picks up another NCAA Tourney win, his 22nd.

A10 is 3-3 in the NIT, with all 3 teams that finished in the top 4 advancing. A potential A10 showdown between Dayton and Mason in the QF is on the table.

VCU gets beat handily. Shots didn’t go down in the first half and they got genuinely rattled (and beat up on the boards by physical bigs). Maybe altitude affected them.
Also Georgia getting destroyed. Blue Cain may want to seriously consider transferring to his mom’s Alma mater.

Gonzaga blows out Georgia
26 for 26 making the Tourney for Gonzaga and Mark Few, and they've won their 1st round game every year since the George W Bush administration, 2008 the last year without a 1st round win
16 NCAA Tourneys in a row with a win for Gonzaga

You can call them just another double digit seed if you want, but the fact that the regular season champs of a conference that got the same number of bids as the ACC got a 10 seed is a joke.

The only teams in the tournament with a losing record in conference were from the SEC. Teams with a winning record from that conference went 7-1, while teams with a losing record went 1-5. Time to exclude teams with a losing record in conference, imho.
Btw, B10 is 8-0, B12 is 6-1, Big East is 4-2, ACC is 2-3, MWC is 2-2, and WCC is 2-0.

Could not agree more with you.
ACC had 1 team reach the round of 32.
13 straight wins for Danny Hurley in the tourney, 2nd longest streak in history

The A10 seems to be stinking up the place this year.

Well, Loyola of Chicago is upholding some honor, defeating #1 seed San Francisco in the NIT 77-76.

“America’s Grestest Coach” strikes out again! Think it’s beyond apparent that calling Mark Few America’s Greatest Coach might be one of the most ridiculous things ever posted here.

Actually, I think belittling a coach who has taken a team from a mid major conference to 2 national title games, 6 Elite Eights, and 14 Sweet Sixteens is the most ridiculous thing ever posted here, but I guess that’s just me.

Well that's for sure

What an obvious travel by Queen there on the game winner against Colorado State. The lack of travel calls in the NCAA tournament and in college basketball is disgraceful. The fact that none of the broadcasters in this game since the final shot even bothered mentioning such an obvious four-step travel is a slap in the face to viewers and fans.

I think you're missing the point DC Native. Few's accomplishments are very impressive and are likely admired by everyone here. And if one poster gave his or her opinion one time that Few is America's Greatest Coach, sure there might be some friendly debate but that would be the end of it.
Instead, The Dude has shoved this "America's Greatest Coach" line down our throats hundreds if not thousands of times. He's done this for absolutely no other reason than to be an annoyance. It is not Mark Few who is being belittled; it's the poster who can't stop trolling us who is being belittled.
Let's pivot to Dan Hurley, another one of The Dude's role models. He sounded so genuine in the postgame interview with Tracy Wolfson, tears rolling down his cheeks as he recapped the journey his program had been on. Moments later, he was caught on a live mic telling the Baylor team who was about to take the court for the next game that he hopes that Baylor doesn't get fucked against Duke the way his team had just ben fucked against the Gators. Yes, this is just an outstanding person to admire.

Nobody is belittling him. He's a very good coach - one of the top 10% in college. Problem is he is not "America's Greatest Coach". Bet even he would be embarrassed by the moniker. But it points to the over the top nature of the posts that have consistently been placed here over the years for what purpose I have no idea.

I don't know what was worse, the missed traveling call (although I admit you'd be hard pressed to get most refs to call that in that situation) or the studio show where Charles Barkley (who just runs his mouth detached from his brain at times) tries to say that anyone who thought it was a travel must live in their mother's basement and then ref apologist Gene Steratore completely makes up a rule not in the rule book (he could pick it up and bobble the ball and not dribble all the way to the rim). NCAA should be embarrassed at the coverage. If you want to say refs are going to allow more leeway in that situation on a variety of things ... I can live with that. But to say it technically wasn't a travel under the rules is just complete nonsense. And it probably would have been called in other situations. By the way, the no call would not even make my all-time top 10 or 20 no-calls on game ending situations.

I've known of the Hurleys because of New Jersey basketball. St. Anthony's, the now closed school, was a powerhouse for decades. The school didn't even have a home court. But Bobby created a monster where St. Ant was super dominant, even on the national level. One year they beat my school 85-32, which was normal till we got a good coach. We finally started to win against them. But the Hurleys were very driven. Can't argue with the results of father and sons in coaching. I don't hear many complaints from the players he coached. They are winners.

I understand that the poster you reference has a history of hyperbolic posts, but maybe you should consider that there are some other posters on here that respect and admire Mark Few. To say he is only a top 10% coach is pretty laughable. I would love to see your list of 35 coaches you think are better. To me, getting a team from a mid major conference to the Final Four is harder than winning it all at a power conference, but even if we treat everyone equal regardless of program/conference, there are only 9 active coaches that have taken a team to 2 or more Final Fours. Assuming no preference for situation, here is how they would rank:
1. Tom Izzo: 8 Final Fours (1 win in 2000).
2. Rick Pitino: 7 Final Fours (2 wins in 1996 and 2013).
3. John Calipari: 6 Final Fours (1 win in 2012).
4. Bill Self: 4 Final Fours (2 wins in 2008 and 2022).
5. Dan Hurley: 2 Final Fours (2 wins in 2023 and 2024).
6. Mark Few: 2 Final Fours (13 Sweet Sixteens)
7. Kelvin Sampson: 2 Final Fours (8 Sweet Sixteens)
8. Thad Matta: 2 Final Fours (6 Sweet Sixteens)
9. Jim Laranaga: 2 Final Fours (5 Sweet Sixteens)
So even not considering the advantages and disadvantages that certain programs have over others, he comes in at #6. But I would love to see how well some of those coaches ahead of him would do at a WCC school, and how Few would do at some of their blue blood schools. One of things I most admire about Mark Few, however, is that although he could have moved to a power conference years ago, he decided to stick it out and build a program in a mid major conference. If only GW would be so lucky as to find someone like that, or any other school in the A10. Our coaches tend to bolt at the first chance they get, like Ryan Odom just did after only 2 years at VCU...
