I was surprised to see this game open with GW at 18.5 point favorites (has since dropped to 17.5). I would have thought low double digits. It is a local rivalry and AU does seems to have had our number those last few games. I rarely bet GW games, and this is one that I would stay away from betting GW.

Fan Duel and BetMGM both have the game as GW-17.5. FYI.. FYI...AI (Chat GPT) has GW to win but not cover.

If you’re in DC, you can’t bet on DC colleges so your apps never show them. Cross the river to VA or MD and you can bet them (but do so at your own risk, betting on GW would always be a wild ride. Not recommended)

GW 51 School That Does not Really Have a Metro Stop 32 HALF.
It is not as if GW appears to be shooting lights out (47%), but tons of offensive boards, great ft shooting and an AU defense that is trying (unsuccessfully) to pack the paint have GW on a scoring jag.
Johnson is back! The reaction when he hit his first bucket showed that it was worth far more than the three points it put on the board.
For those watching at home, Pastos is also back, Not sure that will be as universally welcome as the return of Garrett.

GW 107 AU 67 FINAL
The score pretty much says it all. AU is in a rebuild and GW is playing for this season. Order is restored to The Force. ODU is next.

Its early but they are on script. Over the years how many times have we seen a lack of focus at times, limited bench players and scoring from a very few players. If that team really gels, we will have a fun year. Here is to hope, and a fun season.

If this team can hit their threes, they'll be REALLY tough to stop. 7-9 from Dinkins and 15-28 from the team as a whole is absurd. Defense gave the young AU backcourt fits all night. That's the most points scored in regulation since November 24, 2000 (119-80 win over Howard)
