The A10 Confidence Picks Game
I'm not sure if this will be of interest to two of us or twenty of us but let's test it out. Twice per week, on this thread, I am inviting everyone to pick the winners of the A10 games scheduled normally over a 1-2 day period (typically weeknight games and weekend games) while assigning a score of 1-7 (assuming 7 games are on the schedule) based on how confident you are in your selections. No point spreads, no cash winnings, no prizes, just playing for pride. Assuming a manageable number of participants, I'll tally up the scores and report back on who won for the 1/2 week.
Our first games are on Dec. 30-31 and I will go first with my selections (home teams are in CAPS):
DAYTON over Fordham 7 points (most confident pick)
ST. LOUIS over St. Joe's 6 points
VCU over St. Bonaventure 5 points
George Mason over LA SALLE 4 points
George Washington over RICHMOND 3 points
Loyola over RHODE ISLAND 2 points
DAVIDSON over Duquesne 1 point

Throwing out a quick reminder that the Davidson-Duquesne game is this evening so if you'd like to play, submit your picks before this tipoff. And, if you miss seeing this in time, submit before tomorrow's first tipoff and you'll lose out on your 1 point game (assign points between 2 and 7).

Everyone picked the Davidson/Duquesne game as the 1 pointer or 2 pointer. Fittingly, the game is now in overtime, warranting everyone's insecurity.

Happy New Year everyone. So this will likely be as close as I get to winning even one game in my own competition as I scored 27 out of a possible 28 points. (I won't dwell on how my initial thought was to take Duquesne against Davidson and then I changed my mind since Davidson was at home and the teams are fairly close. I get that nobody wants to read that.)
Nevertheless, GW0509 goes a perfect 7 for 7 (28 points) to take Game #1 so congratulations to our Administrator.. I will keep track of everyone's wins throughout the season. I will not keep track of second place finishers. I'll split ties so if two tie for the game, each will receive .5 points.
Onto Game #2 with 5 games on Saturday plus 1 on Sunday. Here is my card starting with what I am praying is not the kiss of death:
