Maybe it’s just me, but when do we stop the charade of Senior Night? Used to be a point of pride to salute guys who gave 3 or 4 years to a school and thank them for their contribution and commitment. But are we seriously going to do the same thing for a one and done mercenary who got paid to some for a single season and probably didn’t even graduate from GW? Maybe call it something different at the very least, or just shitcan it altogether.

Everything you said is true. Still, it seems to be important for the kids to be publicly recognized, in the presence of their family, and given a round of applause for their service to the team. But yes...it eels a lot different when we are saying goodbye to 3 and 4 year players.

@Isaac__Trotter
There are only 22 high-major scholarship players who will celebrate Senior Night this week, having played at just one place. Mississippi State's Shawn Jones Jr. is the only SEC senior to finish where he started. Dozens of coaching changes and the transfer portal have led to this

I agree the system is totally broken now and the transfers are killing fan sentiment for the players, but I for one was glad to be there yesterday to witness the celebration of our seniors.

Don’t mind the celebration and also appreciated it. Just think it needs to be rebranded at the very least.
