Caught the 1st episode today and thought it was both entertaining and informative. For those who haven't seen it yet, first 20 minutes were a one-on-one with JC and the final third of the show was with Coach Rizzotti.
I recommend you search for it and set it to record. Airs next this Tuesday at 5 p.m. on NBC Sports Washington.

Just caught up on my DVR and am so excited that this will be on TV throughout the season. Only thing is I can't wait for JC to be actually talking about games! I feel like I've seen him talk about the roster about 50 times now.

Will be an auto record on the DVR for sure, thx for the heads up

The show will be every other week. It is on NBC Sports DC 9 (576 on Fios). Per coach:
Mayhem means making another team play at a speed out of their comfort zone and causing them to turn the ball over 50% of the time. And our shooting from the 3 50% of the time.
When asked to say first thing to pop into his head for each player, he responded:
Jack: explosive scorer
Battle: improved so much over the summer
Nelson: explosive at rim
Parr: physical and tough
Seymour: takes a lot of 3s, doesn't miss a lot. NBA range
Hunter Dean: Very athletic
Tyler Brelsford: can score a lot of different ways.
Lincoln Ball: Touch as nails
Noel Brown: Biggest heart
James Bishop: score at a crazy level, passer.
Matt Moyer: leadership and versatility. Can handle and shoot
Coach likes the idea of having Bishop and Nelson on an off the ball. He loves our size, said it changes how we play. Cites Battle playing the 2 at 6'8" as an example.
Sorry if I omitted any players. I am pretty sure that he did not talk about Harris or Stallings (except maybe in passing). Likewise, no mention of Lindo.
Won't be long now.

He keeps talking about playing battle at the two, but how do you do that with Bishop and Nelson both on the court?
Maybe it’s something like the first sub out would be Nelson, and then Jack or Seymour (whoever isn’t starting) or Moyer goes in, so it’s a secondary lineup that goes Bishop, Battle, Paar (or Dean) and two of Jack, Seymour, Moyer?

Very much along the lines of what you'd expect the show to be. No player interviews though I'm guessing this will change as the season rolls along.
What I would ideally like to see is a Data Analytics segment each show. An explanation of the various data which are extremely important to the coaching staff and why this is so important. As someone who became a fan of the game without the use of data analytics, I often feel like one day, data analytics just showed up in the sport and a wave of (mostly) younger fans embraced this while others were just trying to learn more about it. I understand that a segment like this may not be conducive to building a widespread audience for the show but truth be told, I don't believe there's much of a fringe audience for this show. If you're watching, there's a good chance that you follow the program fairly closely. Therefore, educating fans on aspects that they may not be so familiar with would make for a very interesting show and not a typical "fluff" coaches show.

I wanted to bump this since the replay will be shown on NBC Sports Washington in a few hours.
