I appreciate the set play we tried to run, but it looked like half the team was running it at half speed, like it’s a walk through, not a game where they are running the play to put the defense on its heels.
But even so, the play would have worked, except when Bishop drew three defenders and found Dean open from about 14 feet, Dean could have shot or gone to the rim, but instead slowly passed it back out to Tyler, who was covered and we had to settle for a fairly contested shot.
When I talk about the problems of having 1 or 2 guys on the court at all times who can’t play offense, that set play was exhibit one. Imagine that Bishop pass going to KevLar or Pops. Even Moyer would have probably taken it right to the rack instead of just kicking it out and blowing the play.

I assume we are getting ads for "the official bank of the SEC" because the official financial institution of the A10 is New Jersey pawn shop.
So, which team went in to the half feeling confident? Aside from Lindo, are any GW players aware that a loss today ends the season? Or, to put it diferently, aside from Lindo do any GW players want to extend the season?

Happy with the low half time turnover number (3), but we need to improve on team assists (5) and 3 point shooting (3-15). Just using the eye test, we moved the ball the first 10 minutes, with lots of players getting a touch, to no ball movement the second 10 minutes.

In a combined 20 minutes of play, we just need more from Paar and Dean than 2 points, 1 rebound, 0 assists and poor interior defense.

If we are playing in Richmond, I wonder why its at VCU rather than Richmond, which has, at least in my opinion, a nicer arena and without the commuting and parking hassles inherent in a downtown venue. Maybe its proximity to hotels.

Final score prediction: GW 61 Fordham 60.
Anyone else care to predict?

I think they're just spacing things out and no reason to have 1 play-in game in each arena necessitating double the support staff. I think tomorrow's and Friday's games are split between VCU and Richmond.

I believe they are using both arenas for the tourney to space fans out and make it easier on tv schedules.

Battle coming around the screen and hitting the 3 is a great start to second half.

Very nice set play out of the time out, to free Battle up for that three.

Paar getting manhandled down low. Gotta give him some support for those lobs over the top.

Second time ball is lobbed over Chase for dunk by Soriano.

Paar weak to the basket!

Good offensive charge

We start the half with a beautifully drawn up play on offense, then nothing.

Our guys seriously do not know how to move off-the-ball and get open. Once we pick up our dribble we're dead.

What a bad call. Not even close To a charge.

If Tyler is going to miss every shot this badly, then it’s still like 3 on 5 when he’s in the game. Would like to him go to the rim to get his confidence back.

Paar is causing me to miss Goss.
