Outside of us, who capped off one of Division 1's mediocre tournaments by losing easily to Kent State and Missouri State.

jf...if this helps, George Mason also got embarrassed in a somewhat mediocre OOC tournament like GW did. Mason lost to Washington, Nevada and then South Dakota State last night. If GW is going to humiliated in two OOC tournaments, it's better to do it against recognizable BCS schools, and not the likes of UC-San Diego, Cal-State Fullerton, Missouri State and Kent State!!
Last night, Fordham also beat Rice, 84-74, and UMass beat A-10 killers UMass-Lowell, 82-71 last night, so it really was a good night for the A-10 all around(except for The George's!!) as The Dude pointed out. Syracuse lost 100-85 to Colgate at home(how could you give up a 100 points to an Ivy League school??) in their previous game before VCU. It's still a great win for VCU because they are short-handed, and their "havoc" disrupted Syracuse all night long as Syracuse shot 29% from the floor. An interesting note on Syracuse is, both of Jim Boeheim's sons(Buddy and Jimmy) play for him. Buddy is an all-league player and Jimmy transferred in from an Ivy League school for his SR year. Four A-10 teams have nationally televised OOC tournament games today.
Dayton vs. Miami noon ESPN - Dayton already has 3 bad OOC losses to mid-majors(including UMass-Lowell), maybe they can turn it around in this tournament where they'll face better competition.
#6 Baylor vs. VCU 5 ESPN - VCU will face UConn or Michigan State next, so even if they lose this today, they'll get another shot at a big-name BCS school next. Baylor's starting point guard is James Akinjo, some of you may remember that he started his college career at Georgetown where he was the Big East Freshman of the Year.
Maryland vs. Richmond 7 CBS Sportsnetwork - Turgeon can't be happy that he has to face another A-10 team
#25 USC vs. St. Joseph's 9:30 ESPN2 - I'm not sure whether this is a 1 day event or a 4-team tournament, but Georgetown will be playing San Diego State after this game.

You must be thinking of Cornell. Colgate isn't Ivy. (Although GW did give up 104 to Yale at the Smith Center during the KH years)

You're right, I was thinking of Cornell but it really was Colgate from the Patriot League(I just looked up what league they're in!!) who put up a100 on Syracuse at the Carrier Dome. I wasn't aware or may have forgotten that Colgate has dominated the Patriot League over the past few seasons, so winning at Syracuse may not be that big of an upset or the Epitome of Brutality as Jon Rothstein likes to say when a BCS school loses to a mid-major at home!! I'm surprised that Boeheim even played Colgate because he usually schedules the easiest OOC games as possible.

Rick Pitino's Iona Gaels became the first team in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's history to beat an AP top-10 team after upsetting No. 10 Alabama 72-68 on Thursday night.
119 games without a top 10 win....until today

Rick Pitino's Iona squad upset Alabama in the tournament that Dayton is playing in, which is the ESPN Events(seriously, that's what it's called) Invitational. Dayton beat Miami by 16 yesterday to advance in that tournament.
Dayton vs. #4 Kansas 1:30 ESPN - if Dayton can pull off the upset, they'll face the winner of Iona-Belmont in the ESPN Events Invitational title game
VCU vs #22 UConn 1:30 ESPN2 - 3rd place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis. VCU was very competitive in their loss to Baylor yesterday
St.Joe's vs. Georgetown 9:30 ESPNU - 3rd place game of the Wooden Classic
Towson vs. New Mexico 9 FS2 - Terry Nolan is Towson's 2nd leading scorer, this is a consolation game of a tournament.
#5 Duke vs. #1 Gonzaga 10:30 ESPN - not only is this a potential National Championship matchup but it will feature 2 freshmen that could go #1 and #2 in the upcoming draft with Gonzaga's Chet Holmgren and Duke's Paolo Banchero

Yes, big win. And VCU went down to the last minute and change with UConn today.
But they haven't faced Missouri State at the Community School.

Tremendous performances by Dayton and VCU in these tournaments when you consider that both looked weak prior to those tournaments. Georgetown is having some trouble with St. Joe's in the consolation game of the Wooden Classic on ESPNU. St. Joes went up 29-17 after hitting a bunch of 3's. Richmond lost to Maryland yesterday after falling apart in the final minutes, it seemed as if Richmond was up by double-digits for the entire game until they collapsed at the end.

A phrase rarely thought of here: "Let's go Hawks!"

Rick Pitino gets Iona recruits to play their ass off and beat Alabama. Coaching matters and makes a difference.

UMass beat Rutgers 85 - 83 on a last second 3 by Noah Fernandes. Second win over Big 10 opponent, both in Amherst..
Northern Iowa beats the Bonnies and Mississippi State beat Richmond. Davidson and URI won.

Tough loss for St. Bonaventure because they had just won a big OOC tournament and moved up to #16 in the polls. Dan Hurley mentioned that UConn would be playing St. Bonaventure at some point, so they have a chance to pick up a big OOC win and remain in or jump back into the top 25. St.Joe's ended up knocking off Georgetown behind a strong game from Taylor Funk. St.Joe's added a big man transfer from Vanderbilt who gave Georgetown a lot of problems. I'd say this has been a pretty strong OOC showing for the A-10(despite what the record may end up being) with Kansas, Maryland, Georgetown, Syracuse, Rutgers, Penn State, Marquette, Miami, Vanderbilt and a few others all losing to A-10 teams.
American U at Duquesne right now ESPN+
Dayton vs. Belmont 4 ESPN2 - this is for the ESPN Events Invitational Championship, I don't think the organizers thought these would be the 2 teams playing in the title game when they created this tournament! LOL
#7 Villanova vs. La Salle 6 ESPN2

No one left in the Top 25 from A-10. One bid league.

Jamison Battle and Minnesota are 6-0 after a one point win over Pitt. Who is their leading scorer? None other than Battle himself. Also 2nd on the team in rebounds and 3rd in steals.

16 points and 7 boards. Not bad for a 6-0 team

UMES only lost by 9 against #17 UConn. They’re not going to be a pushover, unfortunately.

Guess 6-0 Minnesota upgraded their talent with Jamison.

SLU with an 86-82 OT win over Boise State. I can't say I watched but that's a solid win for them and the A-10
