Thanks everyone.  Enduring an 8 game losing streak requires one to keep their sense of humor, and this thread is really helping.  Noel will be in town in a few weeks.  Please, let's be sure to inform him that he has been favorably compared with Tom Brady in case he doesn't know.  That's sure to make his day. 

We all got to watch Noel play for three seasons under two different coaching staffs.  Am not sure I read one post during this time questioning why Noel wasn't playing more.  In particular, last season under CC, he would have loved nothing more than to play his bench a bit more.  It simply could not be justified.

Maybe Noel has improved under a different coaching staff.  Or as GW0509 suggests, maybe he's essentially the same player this season with a couple of strong games under his belt.  Could we have used him as a backup?  Sure, but not much differently than how he had been used in the past.  For most of this season, Stretch was not only a shot blocker but a rim protector as well.  Opponents thought twice about taking the ball into the lane.  (This has changed of late as our past few opponents have had no qualms about taking the ball right at Stretch, often with success.)  Yes, we could all agree that we were either hoping or anticipating more out of Stretch's game, including CC.  But to turn this into "why oh why did we not hang onto Noel Brown" is as I suggested, quite comical.
