League Offices Moving to DC. Meaningful?

I had no idea they’ve been in Newport News all this time, so I’m guessing not.

Given the way the conference has always been a fly-by-night outfit, I just assumed the league offices were in an abandoned Blockbuster in some dying ex-coal town in eastern Pennsylvania or in a strip mall in southern Jersey next to a TJ Max.

Some or all of these changes to college athletics...conference realignment, NIL, transfer portal rules to name the big ones, may very well wind up being bantered back and forth by Senators and Congresspeople.  This is a savvy move by the A10 to gain much closer proximity to the Hill and influence with its members.

This makes sense, though one of the rare times you can use the word "savvy" in
relation to the A-10.

Fairly meaningless. Probably league brass wanted better transit access and someone likely gave them a good deal on space in a city that has a lot of capacity post-Covid with remote working and as it descends into chaos.
