Do you have to put down a deposit to be invited?

I believe you did have to do so yes, I have already placed mine and then I got the invite, short answer: not sure.

Missed all of those "1969-1973s!" Was hoping to see all 17 names there!

Perhaps in 2025...  Fun event

I thought the event was pretty fun even though watching the team practice really didn't say too much about how that will translate to success on the court.  The only thing that stood out to me was Slim Castro's jumping ability.  Haven't really seen an alley-oop artist like that since Bo Zeigler.

One other positive I took away from the event was the AD's commitment to basketball leading athletics, even though he acknowledged it was tough saying that as a former tennis player.  He said what we all know to be true: if we have success in March, it not only shines a light on the University to the public at large, but it's essential to help fund the other teams on campus.

Main takeaway so far this late Summer/Early Fall:

DBJr looks like a guy destined to play in the NBA.

I think he has a chance if he gets better at certain things (principally shooting). Destined? No. More fluff and exaggeration. SMH.

Amazing, I will be happy to give up some rim protection for someone who can catch a ball underneath the hoop.

Very interesting mix, our 2 new "centers".  Castro is 6'11" and very thin.   The only thing you could really tell about his game during the practice is that he is fast and can jump.  It was impossible for me to tell if he had any offensive game beyond the dunk.  On the other hand, Hansen is more of a wide body---not along the lines of Noel Brown but looked bigger than Hunter Dean.  One thing I look back upon with amusement was CC's reference to Trey Moss having hit 3 3s against us when we played William and Mary.   That got me excited, until I looked up the box from that game and saw that Trey shot 4-14 for the game.  By in large, I could not tell much by the practice...I was too busy trying to figure out who was who, as the players were not in uniform and it was necessary to identify by facial ID.

Yeah.  I guess that's why the school put out this:
