A10 teams were 7-3 on opening night, followed by 2-0 records on Tues and Wed. St Bonaventure opens on Saturday.
Most significant wins on Monday include Richmond 79-72 at Temple led by Rachel Ullstorm 32 points on 9 - 11 field goals (4-5 beyond the arc) and 10 - 10 FT. St Louis won at South Dakota in overtime, 85-83, with 25 points from Peyton Kennedy, Duquense rallied at home to beat Princeton 76-66 led by Megan McConnell with 24 points, although she missed 4 late FTs. Other 4 winners, all at home, were Geogre Mason, URI, Loyola Chicago and. of course, GW.
LaSalle lost at Maine 65 - 51, Explorers have 13 new players and 9 got significant minutes. Maine was about. 5 - 1 against A10 teams last years. Adelphi of the Northeast 10 beat host Fordham 58 - 50. Host Harvard held off UMass 71-58 despite a 5 - 20 shooting from star Harmony Turner. UMass jumped to a 7 - 0 including 2 pregame technical foul shots due to a clock LED light issue. Second pregame "administrative technical" I've seen this season. UMass this year has depth and health, so far, including 3 Bigs over 6" plus a first year who can play; and some backcourt depth including a starting first year point guard. Rotation is 9 players when last year they opened season with about 8 healthy players. Big difference when your coach doesn't leave several weeks into the off-season and there's a mass exit of players, and you have to scramble to fill a roster.
On Tuesday, Davidson won at home 57 - 56 over Florida Gulf Coast led by Miller Prior's 18. Elle Sutphin, who changed her mind about transferring, is not on the Wildcats roster. Dolly Cairns, EX URI starting guard, started for FGCU. Dayton beat Southeast Missouri State at hone 75-70.
Last night, host VCU won 75- 60 over Maryland Eastern Shore, and St Joseph's beat Goldey-Beacon 102-30 in Philly.

Not a shock but Nya Richardson off to a strong start at SMU. Wish her continued success.
From the SMU WBB website....
"// A WALKING BUCKET
Nya Robertson has had a strong start to the season as she currently averages 25 ppg through the first two games. Her scoring average ranks second in the ACC and 10th in the NCAA as she joins FSU's Ta'Niya Latson as the only ACC players to score 50 points in their team's first two games.
Last time out she scored a season-high 29 points marking her 10th straight game scoring in double figures dating back to last season. She has now scored over 20 points 21 times in her career and has reached double figures in 44 games.
If she reaches 20 points against Western Michigan, she will become the first Mustang to score 20 or more points in three straight games since McKenzie Adams did in 2017.
Her 29 points were also the most points by a Mustang inside Moody Coliseum since Kayla White scored 34 against East Carolina on Jan. 13, 2022.
She currently ranks inside the top five in the ACC in seven statistical categories including three-point attempts (20, ACC-3, NCAA-16), total points (50, ACC-4, NCAA-26) and field goal attempts (37, ACC-3, NCAA-49"

UMass lost a frustrating game at home to UNH 66 - 63 with bad shooting all around, Allie Palmieri had 20 for the Minutewomen. On Friday Dayton beat Delaware State 79 - 44, with 22 points from veteran Ivy Wolf. Fordham rebounded from its loss to Adelphi with home win over Cal State Fullerton. URI lost to host Albany 67 - 57.
In an undefeated Saturday for the A-10, LaSalle opened newly renovated John Glaser Arena by beating Delaware, 68 - 54. Ashleigh Connor, RS So from St Louis has 21 points. St Bonaventure opened with a 82 - 61 win over Binghamton. Isabellah Middleton scored 19 for the Bonnies. Richmond beat Morgan State. George Mason beat Towson 76 - 55. UMass (2-2), although erratic offensively, had strong 2nd and 4th quarters to beat Monmouth (0-4) 66 - 53. Megan Olbrys had a career high 20. Rookie Yahmani MacKayle continued to impress with 17 points. 5th year Stefanie Kulesza, who'e been in a scoring funk, got going late and finished 10/8. And the #4 Big, 6'3" Jess Ross, in her first significant playing time, had 6 points, 9 boards (7 in the 2nd quarter) 4 assists and 2 blocks. Monmouth was 22 -10 last season and they had some personnel turnover but I'm not sure what happened to them.
