The Washington Post is so out of line to summarize our big win v Dayton in ONE SENTENCE. That's all they did Sunday and didn't even show the game box score. I sent an LTE blasting the lack of coverage for GW and Mason.

They have the numbers. They cover what draws clicks and eyes. Are they pushing women’s sports? Yes, but it’s not at the expense of any mens cbb coverage. Better to encourage the Hatchet and hunt the internet.

100%.  I think the only local team that still gets every game coverage is Maryland.

Gene Wang used to write up GW games in the ML era and is now covering UVA.

Absent a 05-06 GW type-run, I think gamer coverage of our school is gone for good.  Just accept that the business model of the "local" paper has changed.  Instead, use your clicks to show love to the WRGW crew who cover every game on the radio and are the ones asking 80% of the questions at the post-game pressers.

EDIT: Also shout out Making the Cut with Mook (Marcus Washington) and Finest Magazine.  They're also at most games and actually provide coverage/analysis for GW.

Patrick Stevens of the Post (and other outlets) is at games pretty often asking questions in the press conference. Evidently it doesn't translate to any real content beyond maybe live tweets of games

In the first season of A-10 Insider, we've not had a returning guest — UNTIL NOW! George Washington head coach Chris Caputo is back on the show for a sitdown with Rob Dauster after the Colonials knocked off Dayton last weekend and have a shot at a three-game winning streak this weekend. Plus, an added bonus interview from The Field of 68 AFTER DARK featuring Rhode Island head coach Archie Miller and his brother, Sean — head coach of the Xavier Musketeers.

The finalists for the 2022-23 Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year award were announced on Tuesday.

The Joe B. Hall award is presented annually to the top first-time head coach in Division I college basketball.

A longtime Kentucky assistant, Joe B. Hall was given the task of following the legendary Adolph Rupp at the school. In his first season, Hall finished 20-8, won the SEC and advanced to the NCAA Regional Finals.

Hall coached the Wildcats from 1972 to 1985. He won two-thirds of his games (297-100), received four SEC Coach of the Year honors and won a National Championship in 1978. He also steered the program to two other Final Fours, won eight Southeastern Conference regular season championships and one Southeastern Conference tournament championship (1984).

The recipient of the 2023 award will be announced in March, in Houston site of the men's NCAA Basketball Championship.

Great to see CC getting national recognition.  With Urgo in the mix his odds once again of winning are nil but still great.

Jon Scheyer lmao.  Duke was picked 7th in the nation, underachieved all year.  What's he doing on this list???

Keith Urgo vs Jerome Tang IMO

Good find.
CC did a really good job. Relaxed, personable, open and knowledgeable.
No lapsing into meaningless coachspeak.
Now, ready for incoming player announcements, the sooner the better.

Interesting as always but little new. Good to hear that there may be some news next week. Also reiterated his recruiting philosophy, namely he would rather not use a scholarship rather than use one on the wrong player.
