Going to get this one started as we figure to be fairly active in the portal for next year.

Angelo Brizzi from Villanova entered the portal today. We offered him out of HS and he's a VA native. Has a good chance of earning playing time at guard given we only have the three freshmen for next year as of now (pending JB's status).

Good eye. Remember him.
Hope we are also active for forwards and centers (as such in today's game).
2nd semester would be a great head start.

Poked around the old Brizzi Recruit thread and didn't see a Miami reference.  He did like his visit to GW under the JC regime.

Enough with the guards! If we want to compete inside and outside the A10, we must bring in some quality big men for next year and beyond. Check the stats from our recent games. We're getting slammed on the boards and very little scoring from our current frontliners.

Wynston Tabbs from East Carolina entered the transfer portal. Native of Suitland, MD. Began his career at Boston College and averaged double figures in two seasons there. He has dealt with injuries and is a bit volume dependent but the is talent there.

We offered him out of high school, but I think that was all the way back under Mojo, so not sure we have much of an inside connection to him outside of being local.

Surprised that we didn't wind up with a midseason transfer. Wasn't Hunter Dean, one for example.
Was the market down for midseason because of relaxed limits on transfers?

Enough with the guards! If we don't bring in some solid big men next year, we're screwed!

Coach Caputo has always talked about his long horizon of building the program rather than short-term results. Not surprised in the least that he didn’t bring in any stop-gap body for the second semester. He has a decided preference for the kind of player he wants to recruit so public fan chasing of every name that crops up in the transfer portal is probably a misguided exercise. Anyone doubting Caputo is looking to bring in a couple of bigs hasn’t fully bought in to the bandwagon he has been creating about establishing a program for the long haul. Hopefully, GW can manage to get to the finish line this year with enough healthy bodies to remain relevant and competitive. It’s what happens in 6 weeks or so when the season is over and Caputo can turn his attention full-time to next year’s team and beyond. Regardless, this season has to have exceeded most people’s expectations, including the coaches. Not a bad start and first year.

Coach Brenden Straughn does follow him on Twitter . Didn't have a great Freshman year at Georgetown but then again who did LOL.  I think Adams is proof that Caputo can turn around a talented players career

So is it 13.1 ppg or 15.8?
and tell this stupid old man how to echo a previous post.   If it's the quote - how does it work?
