Fordham is given a 29% chance of winning, per KenPom.  URI  also lost 4 of their previous 5 games, with their sole win being against Fordham.  Fordham did beat URI in February for 1 of its 3 conference wins.   On the other hand, Fordham has lost 8 in a row and based at least upon my eye test looked like the worst team we played all season.   Yes, I would think URI will win this game, but I would not call it a lock or otherwise disrespect them.

If we bought those “a10 general admission (red)” tickets - those aren’t only for students, right?

does anyone yet know when the second game will be, or does it depend on whether we win on Thursday?

Everything you need to know about the A-10 tournament schedule but were afraid to ask.

https://atlantic10.com/sports/2024/6/6/MBB25.aspx

If GW wins on Thursday, we play on 5 pm on Friday against a beatable George Mason, whom we played very tough during the season and who has been stumbling of late.

The Revs better come out hungry and ready tomorrow. We have a better team than Fordham, but Fordham proved today that they are not going out without a fight.

Overconfidence will always be a concern when it comes to 18-24 year old males.  The fact that we just saw these guys, at their place, and won by 23, is a cause for concern.  Ask URI who had just routed Fordham last weekend.

DC Native is right.  We do have the better team but that alone will not get the job done.  This team should play as focused and motivated as they have in their past two wins.  GW is the team that desperately wants another shot at Mason while Fordham is the team with nothing much to lose.

Agree.  Always worry about playing the same team twice in a row, and definitely worry about complacency after a relatively easy win. Plus Fordham will have a game under their belt at Capitol One Arena and some confidence.

The good news is that we defend really well and if we bring our defensive intensity, that can make up for being tight shooting the ball.

FWIW, I know it hasn’t haopened much where we opened the tourney with the same team we played in the last game, but I remember once going to the Palestra all excited for the tourney and we lost the first game of the entire to a Rutgers team we had just played (and I think lost to) a few days earlier. Serious buzzkill and may have knocked us off the bubble that year.

Here's our dispatch from day one of the A10 tournament: https://www.youtube.com/live/VdQNt-AeEAc?si=m870rRYesQJNZdXC

We did a short preview of the matchup with Fordham at the beginning, then had an interview with Caputo and Ryan Puleo, which were both filmed at halftime of the URI/Fordham game (apologies in advance for the shoddy audio but it's servicable). Let us know what you think and what sort of content you'd like to see for the rest of the week!

Let's hope CC can get his first A-10 Tournament win. JC was 1-3 with his only victory against Fordham in 2021.

Tonight's game is definitely a trap game. As others have said, if we don't come out ready to play, Fordham will beat us. Got to keep their guards in check.

Let's go!!!! Feeling cautiously optimistic. I love that the whole team watched Fordham truly ball yesterday. It hopefully got them pumped up to meet 🔥 with 🔥. There will be no illusions and Geedubs can truly bring it!!!!
