This is just a heads up for those who plan to watch the game. There is a disconnect between GWSports and ESPN+.  Website has a 6 PM (ET) start, but ESPN+ shows an 12:05 PM (ET) tipoff.

Not sure which is correct, but if want to catch the game live, check out ESPN around lunch time, just in case.

Both team websites show a 6 p.m. start. Vaguely remember this was originally scheduled for an earlier start. Suspect 6 p.m. time is correct

Tough stretch late in the game as WBB falls by 4 to Davidson, 66-62. The Wildcats are decent so not the worst loss we could have had, but tough to see another one slip away when we were up 8 with three minutes left.

Defense was good as usual - we locked them down after a leaky first quarter. Really liked the play from Jasmine and Aurea on both sides of the ball. Neila returned to form, knocking down some nice shots in the midrange. Ali has unfortunately been in a bit of foul trouble the past few games. Nice to see Gabby make her debut.

Unfortunately, too many turnovers and free throw shooting really hurt late in the game. We did shoot better from the field compared to most of the season, but at the end of the day the team entered the game shooting 16% from deep for the season which is laughably bad. We are allowing teams to shoot just 29% or so from three, so if we could at least match that percentage offensively we would easily have 2-3 more wins by now.

Hope to see Sydney back in action soon.

There are signs of progress for sure. Couldn't agree more about our lack of 3pt proficiency. We're playing teams even for the most part but hard to win when teams are making 4-8 more 3's a game. Looked really good until the last 4.5 minutes, but hopefully, this game will serve as a learning experience for the younger players. Sorry to see Blethen get her minutes reduced so much, because I think she's a good all around player, and could be an answer to our 3pt problem if she gets her confidence back. Taiwo still great on defense and the boards, and getting fouled, but she has to improve her free throw shooting.

An aside-- I wasn't thrilled about the officiating, where travelling was involved. It seemed like Davidson did it a lot-- but we called for it more.

Also, the play to tie the game (where Perea stepped out of bounds) was a good one, because she would have gotten a very clean look.

Can't go scoreless last 4 minutes and get outscored 12-0.

19 turnovers. Slop ball again.
