For those of you who find reading comprehension a challenge, basically the SEC and Big10 are plotting to reduce top-tier college football (i.e., what you see on TV) to them and them only-- though they will probably want to add Notre Dame, Clemson, Fla St and maybe SMU or Miami of Florida, too. After that, the BigSEC will then turn its attention to the next TV contract for the basketball tournament, because why share with UC Irvine and GW and SUNY-SB and UMKC what you can keep for yourself?
At what point will schools squeezed out of the money grab decide they are finished with the expenses? That is a question that will first hit football teams like UL-Monroe and Temple and Bowling Green, but will eventually reach down to any DI basketball program not in the SECBig.
