Win total matters less, since that's contingent on SOS, but the NET has to climb and I think it will
Targeted Goal is my question I guess, where would you like GW to be, roughly speaking in the NET in 1-2 years....
GW Men's Hoops » Years 3 and 4 for CC at GW » 4/24/2024 11:15 pm |
Two big years ahead, I am on team CC 100%, I think he's laying great tracks but the wins need to come and I do believe they are coming and coming in the next 2 years
What's a realistic goal for the next 2 years in terms of
record ....and NET ranking??

Whine less donate more
30 years of incessant whining about GW on the 2 sites has played a small role in ....
Do you want to win? Support this athletics department. Stop crying about it and certainly stop lying about it that would be a good start there's been a lot of both over the many years of the two sites
Raise High
GW Men's Hoops » Terry Nolan Jr » 4/17/2024 9:01 am |
Named the head coach at Rosedale
Has been moving up the ranks as a very young coach
Bright future ahead in the coaching ranks for Terry Nolan Jr
If you've had the opportunity to meet him in person he's a wonderful guy and little surprise coaching was his future pathway
Rock on TNJr. Good luck on and off the court!

At this point the events of 2016 are becoming pretty far in the rearview mirror
Were they impacting the basketball program three or five years ago? .... of course so
It's time to move forward though we're now almost 8 years removed from the summer of 2016 when the program took a big turn with the departure of ML
Was he to blame what's the athletic department of blame was pointless then it's pointless now it did a obvious impact on the program for many years. The point is he was no longer the coach and PN was no longer AD. 8 years is enough crying. I feel like Vito Corleone you can act like a man!!! Lol
At this point CC should be able to move the program forward. I'm not saying that the fallout is zero it still has fallout. It took decades for the Chernobyl fallout to resolve I think one decade tops for the 2016 events is plenty enough
In the next decade will have a fresh start. Time to start winning some more games... big year ahead for CC.
Some of the recruiting has been outstanding but there are some concerns obviously losing that many games in a row is a bit concerning but I don't know if it really means the future isn't bright I think the future remains very bright for CC
But we got to get those results on the court in years 3 and 4

I wonder if "Bo Knows" still thinks Danny Hurley is no good. Whatever happened to "Bo" I hope he's doing well and still kicking somewhere it must be 5 years since he's posted here! Best wishes to Bo whereever you are!
Too bad GW never had a guy quite like Hurley in Foggy Bottom. If Rhode Island can land a guy like Danny Hurley, so can GW, in fact GW could have HIRED Danny Hurley he was coming From Wagner and settled on a total rebuild of a then crummy Rhode Island squad.
Just need the right guy, all the excuses about NIL, and blah blah are just excuses. Mike Jarvis proved that the right guy at GW can take us to the Sweet 16, or maybe even further with some luck, fortune, and a lot of great recruiting all of which Jarvis did and can clearly be done again as long as the right man is at the helm.
Seems like the guys like playing for Hurley too. Guys like the likely #1 pick in the NBA draft and back to back National Titleist Donovan Clingan
7 years ago Hurley was taking Rhode Island to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney, they were 8-21 when he got there the cupboard was totally barren in a few years they were winning back to back games in back to back years for the A10 in the NCAA Tourney at Rhode Island and now the Dynasty is complete in Connecticut and just getting started there too.
7 years later Hurley is The Gold Standard for College Coaches at present:
UConn 7-foot-2 sophomore Donovan Clingan -- one of the cornerstones of the Huskies' back-to-back NCAA championship teams -- will enter the 2024 NBA draft. The No. 3 prospect in ESPN's Top 100 list, Clingan is expected to be in the running to become the No. 1 pick in the June draft after a dominant late-season and NCAA tournament run.Clingan leaves UConn for the NB

Early prognostications have Danny Hurley's Connecticut team among the favorites to win the national title next season along with Gonzaga.
I believe that would be the first and only Coach in history to three-peat other than John Wooden at UCLA
Incredible what he's done in such a short time already in storrs, Connecticut
Building a dynasty is Mr Hurley.

Interesting. Baylor over Kentucky, kudos to Scott for his loyalty and incredible success at Baylor staying the course it seems
Hmmm, Bruce Pearl might be the guy eh?
Any dark horses?
Is Kentucky the best job in the country or would you rather be at Duke or North Carolina?

Predictions for the Coach Cal replacement at Kentucky?
Have noted that the seat was getting quite warm for years for Cal, and now he's gone.
Maybe Scott Drew?

Seton Hall NIT Champs, led by their iconic former star point guard head coach
A Seton Hall player and Jersey to the bone Danny Hurley brings back to back national titles to Connecticut as their Head Coach
Rutgers has the number two and number 3 players in the country inward bound freshmen. Quite a period of basketball for the tri-state area
Let's hope for a turnaround like that in the DMV. At least in the foggy bottom part of the DMV!

Danny Hurley's UConn run straight though to Back to Back National Titles in historically dominant style, all 12 games, complete and utter domination one of the great back to back runs in the history of the sport. Took Rhode Island from the very bottom of the A10 to the very top, and now he's on the very top of the entire sport.
Danny Hurley, Is in The Empire Building Business.
