He turns 20 in two weeks, so will he still be playing college ball when he is 24? And how big of a setback is his injury? Glad he is coming to GW, hope he is every bit the baller (and student) we want him to be.

Great news but we still need big men who can play.

Light stats.  Good offensive efficiency because he gets to the line a lot (almost as many FTA as FGA) despite the fact that he can't make FTs (55%).  Four unremarkable games against Miami in the last two seasons.

According to his Instagram page, David N'Guessan has taken recent visits to four of his eight finalists -- #URI, UMass, George Washington and Kansas State.
Obviously also plenty familiar with Virginia Tech.

9.7 and 13.5 minutes per game in his 2 seasons. If he is looking for the opportunity for more PT, we may be his choice.

A name to keep an eye on is Anquan Hill. Recently entered the portal as is now being followed by Dwayne Lee on Twitter.
6-9 F from Philadelphia. Played at Archbishop Carroll.
Averaged 7.7 pts and 5 rebs per game at Farleigh Dickinson.  Would have 3 years of eligibility remaining.

I’ll take anyone who can play, but don’t we need some guards?
We currently have 3 centers in Dean, Brown, and Harvey.  We have 4 Fs in Lindo, Qwanzi, Nixon, and Jabari West
And only 3 guards or wings between Bishop, Adams, and Maximus.

Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year. First FDU Knight to win that award in 27 seasons. Averaged over 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2 assists, 0.9 blocks and shot 50.4% from the field against league competition. Hill would be a good get but we certainly can use some more depth in the backcourt, particularly at point guard. The interesting wild card in all of this is Daniel Nixon who I believe has the versatility to play in the backcourt. Am encouraged that he did not enter the portal, and am hopeful that any issues whioch sidelined him last season are behind him.

I second FQ/Gwmayhem. I'm surprised many of the guys we've targeted are forwards when there is a dire need of a point guard (unless Hunter or Qwanzi is graduating early?). Neither Bishop nor Adams (who I think is better coming off the bench) should be having that lead role but can handle it for stretches.
One guy that I'm surprised hasn't recommitted anywhere already is 2022 Bryce Lindsay. A SFA/Baltimore guy who re-opened his commitment after Martin was let go at South Carolina. He too is more of a combo guard type, but perhaps we go by committee there and he would be a solid add as we look to the future.
I only watched a couple of FDU games towards the end of the year. The Knights were a train wreck last year, but Hill was a bright spot and is definitely a fairly skilled post player who I think could be a nice complementary piece. He has a nice face up game. Just not sure it's a priority when there is a need at guard.

Are we sure Amir Harris isn't coming back?

Good point.
Wonder if Knapp's in a 2-year program? He may have played so little he could redshirt, also did he use all of his Covid period exemption? But don't know the rules.

According to this tweet, Bishop hasn’t decided yet whether to turn pro or come back to college yet.  (Could also just be that the reporter doesn’t know)

I believe Coach Caputo expects James Bishop to be with GW next year.

Maybe GW is on the cutting edge? Going BIG when everyone else is going small and spreading the floor! ;-) In actuality I miss Joe, TJ and Alvin.

I hope he doesn't expect him to be our point guard.

Bishop officially withdrawn from the draft and coming back.
Good. Wonder what feedback he got from scouts/teams besides what we can already guess.
