Clark was a big scorer in HS, racking up nearly 2,400 points. He seemed to really develop as a shooter last year and gives us another option at point which we desperately need. I see this as a good pickup for a one-year rental based on what was available. Obviously many of his performances were against SWAC competition (and he is on the shorter side) but he did score 7 points against Dayton in non-con. Per Rivals, he did have a number of high-level schools that showed interest out of HS (Creighton, Houston, Richmond, etc.) Welcome to Foggy Bottom EJ!

Clark shot 46% from three and 86% from the free throw line last season. Was the best catch and shoot scorer in the SWAC last season, per @SynergySST.

Welcome EJ!

Seems like a good get with some veteran presence. Hard to argue with a guy who made 45% of his threes last year. Hopefully we can sneak in a big man recruit too!

Here’s hoping he can give us what Armel Potter gave us off the bench.
From his highlights I’d say his game compares pretty well to Armel’s, with EJ being a better 3 point shooter

Armel Potter was who came to my mind as well.
Good players at small schools are good players in the A10 too, particularly 22-23 year old versions

Another upside to bringing him in (Not saying its the reason but can't hurt.)
Here is part of his Dads twitter bio (A nice recruiting connection)

This was really a great signing given the late date. In the worst case scenario, you pick up a practice player who could help strengthen the team's backcourt skills. In the more likely scenario, you have a solid backup point guard, the one position where this year's team looks to be deficiently thin. And in the best case scenario, EJ plays a lot at the point, moving to James to the 2 where I believe he is better suited (unless he has really worked to improve his decision-making skills at the point). When also considering that EJ is taking up a spot for one season that would likely otherwise have gone unfilled, this is truly a no-brainer. Welcome EJ.
