Rutgers beat Stonehill, on a late 3, by 1 point
Shows two things, almost anyone can beat anyone, and surely anyone can beat GW so we best be ready today
Also, how hard it is year to year to year to stay at a new level. Rutgers has fallen off a lot from those NCAA tourney teams. Good news they have a historic recruiting class coming in

Kwame Evans Jr. (Oregon) is playing right now against UCLA on CBS. The announcers mentioned that Oregon has been playing without their 2 best post players, that is probably what has allowed Kwame to get a lot of minutes. It will be interesting to see what happens with his minutes when Oregon gets their big guys back.

The A10 won 12 out of 13 today
Almost a clean sweep
Howard knocked off LaSalle
Solid ooc this year for the A10
Almost everyone is up across the board

Rhode Island beat Saint Joe's, who had a great OOC.
I guess the sky isn't falling just yet for Archie Miller, who won 5 NCAA Tourney games last he was at the helm of an A10 program

Michigan lost at home to Minnesota
They are now 6-8 with some brutal losses in the OOC. Hard to imagine Juwan Howard surviving this kind of season
Offline
At 362, Minnesota was the only D-1 school in the country with a weaker OOC schedule than GW.

Seton Hall beats Marquette!
The Pirates have started their Big East with wins at UCONN and Providence and now Marquette.

VCU won at George Mason
Rhode Island beat Davidson on the road

This is just insane. URI wins on the road at Davidson; VCU wins on the road at Mason 54-50 (maybe their defense isn't as bad as it looked against us); and RIchmond wins on the road at Loyola. The road underdog seems to be the play this season in the A-10. Already only 3 undefeated teams the conference, and most teams have played only 2 games so far. Who woulda thunk URI would be one of those teams.

Yes! Last night was fascinating with all three road teams winning. It should be a fun A-10 season with plenty of oppotunity for us. It looks like all conference games could be close, with the exception of most games involving Dayton. If we can play like we did against VCU and our freshman keep improving we should be competitive in every game. I am getting less fearful of a 5-13 conference record.

Some big upsets tonight
How about Central Florida beating Kansas! woah 4 losses in 2 days for the top 5 vs non ranked teams.
Butler beats Marquette on the road, another big upset
13-7-4 from Jameer Nelson Jr powering TCU over top 10 Oklahoma. 12-3 TCU and Jameer look destined for The Dance this year

Dayton beats top 100 Duquesne on the road by 10
Looking like a lock tourney team at this point. #21 NET Duquesne is 87 so this may end up a borderline Quad 1 win. Dayton already banked 3 Quad 1 wins

Not that it’s relevant, but Dayton RPI is 2.

Crazy A10 continues with St Joe blowing a late lead to Loyola, URI beating UMASS, and Fordham winning at Bona.
I believe the teams picked for top 7 in the A10 are a combined 9-13 right now, while teams picked for the bottom 7 are 12-10.
Incredible parity and every game will be a war.

Wow, not only are they 2, 2-3-4 is Dayton Utah St and San Diego St. The RPI is hard to find! I've given into the NET given its Tourney impact, and KenPom of course better than RPI. RPI seemed more favorable to non Power 5 so it wasn't going to last long as influential!
As for The A10, I'd say there's parity (its early but seems so) but there's also 1 very clear cut team at the top Dayton.
2-9 is incredibly bunched 85-110 and 6 of them are 91-106 KenPom. We're 12th.
Jameer and TCU do it again, a huge win over #2 Houstson. 9-3-3-2 for Jameer Jr

In the battle of two former GW ACs, Carm’s Siena beats Paulus’ Niagara.
Siena tried very hard to give it away with a minute to go but won the FT contest down the stretch.

Some solid performances from former GW guys:
- Noel had 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in an absolute blowout for Bona against URI.
- Qwanzi had 9 points and 10 rebounds for IUPUI in a major upset over conference foe Purdue Fort Wayne. He leads the team in rebounding for the year. Ooey-Pooey put up 85 despite taking just 5 threes all game.
- Hunter had 4 points and 8 rebounds for LSU in a home win over #22 Ole Miss, including two clutch FTs at the end of the game.

Good to see those guys playing so well, great win indeed over a top 25 for Hunter and LSU who are now 11-6 and 3-1 in the SEC
The #1 team in the nation, and defending national champs UConn, blew out top 15 Creighton, 62-48. They've ascended to #1 after missing Clingan for weeks, he came back tonight.
Danny Hurley appears to be dynasty building in Storrs CT

What a night for Bamisile, 29 points, on 13 shots. As VCU keeps blowing out teams, they inch closer to making our win over them a Quad 1 win
