Some trouble scoring inside early and we let them hit a couple threes. I’m fine with Meechie shooting from deep (he’s 1-2 now, so if he’s going to hit them, not much you can do, and that Cooper three was pretty deep).
Need to move the ball a bit better to generate better shots, and if we’re going to challenge them inside, we have to be a lot more physical.

Definitely not getting the calls.
uSC up to 6-9 from three, but the last two were open shots by good shooters. Cant allow that.
Hopefully max can get involved as he comes back in.

If we can get some 3 point defense and get Max and Bishop going, we can stay with South Carolina. Seems like our younger players are playing with more composure than our veterans.

We are down because (1) We have allowed South Carolina to shoot 8-16 from the three and Bishop/Edwards shooting 1-11 from the field. Max...if the shots aren't falling, keep rebounding, but let someone else take the shots.

JBVI and Maximus 2 points on 1-11 shooting. We are fortunate to be only down 10 with that kind of production from our stars.
Love the way Autry is responding to coming off the bench. He’s having a really good game off the bench.
Other positives:
- did great on the boards, including 8 offensive boards, while only giving up 2.
- only 6 turnovers (though USC has just 3 - watch the turnover battle in the second half).
- we’ve defended BJ Mack pretty well.
- Hutch playing well, other than the missed layup.
- Darrin up the challenge physically. Wasn’t sure how this would go, but he’s showing what a matchup nightmare he is.
- Antoine Smith contribution (looked a little lost on D).
- Max not letting his offensive nightmare affect his work on the defensive boards.
Overall, I think our defense has been ok - USC got hit from deep, but some of those were shots I think we are willing to live with. There’s been some breakdowns, but we’ve mostly competed. But offensively, we’ve been poor other than the 3 point shooting of Autry, Smith, DBJ, and Jocoi. Need to get James and Max going to have a shot, but like I said, considering the way the half went, 10 points not terrible and we can make it up.

Not the best performance defensively. How many times did we lose SC from behind the arc? If they weren't beating us from 3 they drove inside and GW was flatfooted without Stretch out there since he picked up two early fouls. Fortunate to be only down 10 despite not much from JB and Max so far. Jacoi, Trey, and Darren look really good.
Is Benny hurt? Surprised he didn't get any run in the first half but maybe it is a defense thing.
