This is another pretty solid pickup, especially from an offensive perspective. Hansen was one of the top guys in the Ivy League when it comes to efficiency, and he has continued to improve from distance each year at Cornell. As you can see above, he had back-to-back games his sophomore year against Miami and Syracuse where he posted double figures scoring, so that may have caught CC's eye.

It was expected that we would pursue a guy who can stretch the floor some, and Hansen seems to provide that. Any questions may come on the defensive end, but the metrics seem to be pretty solid on that side of the ball as well. Hansen has averaged around 20 mpg at Cornell and will likely continue to see that much time at GW (more or less depending on matchup). Perhaps the most impressive stat is that he never fouled out through three years at Cornell. He seems to be an Engineering Major which is also cool! I'm excited to see him play next season.

Good post by DMV and sounds like a great commitment.
We have a good engineering school and Sean is serious about academics, a real
plus for a student-athlete today.
I like the really like pretty good games in about a half of playing time against Miami, Syracuse, and
George Mason.
Welcome Sean and family to our GW family!

The thing I like about this pickup is he seems to have a higher floor than some of our more recent transfers.
