Hunger adds some depth behind Slim after appearing in 62 games for the Wildcats at the Big 10 level. He started 10 games in 2023-24 and was expected to be the sixth man coming into the year after logging significant minutes during NW's two NCAA tournament games during his sophomore year. Unfortunately injuries derailed his season somewhat and a nagging foot injury affected his performance the second half of the year.

This is a solid pickup as a backup, albeit not really one that moves the needle. Unlike Slim, he wasn't as efficient in his opportunities. Hunger has some post skills, but is prone to shooting more jumpers than he probably should. He's made just nine threes in 50 attempts over his career. If he continues to shoot those here, it will likely be more of a liability than a benefit. He seems to be a fine rebounder - probably a bit better on the offensive end than defensive, but he doesn't rebound at astronomical rates. During his junior year, he did finish with a career best 29 assists, potentially indicating some playmaking abilities that are being lost from Sean's graduation. Defensively, he was probably one of Northwestern's weaker defenders, partly due to being tasked with guarding Big 10 quality forwards. Perhaps a drop down to the A10 will help him be at least solid there, if not spectacular.

The Revs will likely need to add another guard that can get to the tin as well as a wing in order to really contend. Of course, a body or two is also needed at the 4. Hunger doesn't fully address rebounding, and Slim will need help in that area next year compared to what he had this season.

Luke comes from an athletic family as his dad played basketball at Providence, his mom swam for Florida State, and his brother also swam at Princeton. He got his undergrad degree in just three years, so that's certainly a fit for GW off the court. Excited to see Hunger in Buff and Blue this Fall!
