Schedules are out (and an exhibition or two has even been played! I know, seems kind of early). Of note, none of the teams are playing non-conference games outside of the Eastern time zone (though volleyball will head to an event in Florida, so it is not as if there is no travel at all), which I take as sign of budgets being tight. It is also unclear if games will be streamed (but that is always the case in early August, and usually they get thrown up on ESPN+ so not too worried).

It is called soccer.
Women's team (who was picked 13th of 14 teams in the preseason poll) started with a 1-0 win over American and a 2-2 draw with Drexel, both of which were away from home. NY state trip on deck for them with a trip to Colgate tomorrow and Binghamton on Sunday. Then 6 of the next 7 at home, with the lone road game being George Mason.
As for the men, they were picked last in the preseason poll (also 13th because Richmond doesn't have men's soccer). They open up at Old Dominion tomorrow night before coming home to play Binghamton. Later in the non-con they travel to newly D1 New Haven for what I'm assuming will be the first matchup in any sport between GW and New Haven.
Both teams will likely be pretty bad this year unfortunately. I think if the men are as bad as is projected, this will be Craig Jones' final season at the helm.

Yes, like baseball last year, entrance is now free. More importantly, no bags or backpacks permitted in the Smith Center unless it’s housing diapers.
