Re: 2019-2020 A10

Never heard of Three Man Weave, but quite an impressive review.  Probably as comprehensive as we will see anywhere.  Even scouting Kenner League.  Predicting incremental improvement of the team, which is what I think we are all expecting...or at least hoping for.  One thing that jumps out at me was no mention of Amir Harris.   Agree with more Potter and less Mazzula.    I fully agree with his comments on Mezzi, specifically that he could be an enticing asset on both ends of the ball and may have a breakout year.  I also agree with him as a "4".   Only questionable comment that jumped out at me was  that only 2 players opted to transfer with the coaching change.  We actually lost 4 to transfer  (Nolan, Williams, Brown and Littles).  Perhaps he did not consider the Brown and Littles transfers as a result of the coaching change.  Season almost upon us.  Will be a bit sadder without one of our biggest fans, Mark Plotkin.

Re: 2019-2020 A10

I was unaware of Three Man Weave as well but if you enjoy reading about the sport, it's worth checking out.  It's run by three young guys who all have other "real" jobs (which they claim are part-time).  I've read a handful of team previews and these guys are very thorough.  The level of detail they seem to know about I'm guessing every school in the country is really impressive.

Also very sorry to hear of Mark Plotkin's passing.

Three Man weave podcast is great! They have a ton on mid-major coverage.

Re: 2019-2020 A10

Where is everyone.  We are barely one month from the start of the season; we just had a very in depth analysis of the upcoming season by a publication that obviously does its homework, and from the board, we get crickets.  Comeon everyone, there is much to talk about here.  Season is almost upon us.  Lets discuss.

Re: 2019-2020 A10

yea kind of bummed, lots going on and our fan base seems lost.

I'm encouraged to see us projected at #10. Even though that's pretty low, it's an improvement from last year. I would argue that last year's team had more talent & potential but MJ really couldn't develop players or implement an effective game plan. Felt kind of like a wasted year for our freshman class. Too bad! I think the consensus is that Jamion can get the most out of his players as evidenced from Sienna & MSM. Havoc defense should be complementary with the type of athletic players we have. Offense is still questionable regarding who our top scorers will be. I'm sensing it will be Toro in the post and Maceo raining 3s.

Top of the A10 looks pretty dangerous, I'm excited to see if they can do some damage in the NCAA. Best case scenario would be 3 in the tournament (Dayton, Davidson, VCU).

Outside of our home team and A10 compadres I'll be following Duke, always an interesting team. They bring in a fresh crop of super freshman as well as some familiar faces. Alex O'Connell - The slim reaper. Jack White - Australian sniper (until he missed something like 30 3-pointers in a row, might be a record). Tre Jones - Looks to be a leader on the team and improve his draft stock. Open to any suggestions on teams or story lines to follow!

Re: 2019-2020 A10

I think it's just hard to project this team because we have no idea what lineups/rotations JC wants to roll out. Does he want to play guys with more experience? Albeit those players have not had much success so that experience may be moot. Or does he want to roll out the freshman that are more fit to play his system? I think we are gonna see a little bit of both but until we get news from the secret scrimmage or even the public exhibition game, it's difficult to really project this team.

Re: 2019-2020 A10

I'm also of the view it is a tough year to get a feel for, feel we need to see how things settle in. Do we even know yet the exact roster?
What is driving the expected major leap forward, atop the Conference this season?

Speaking of the secret scrimmage, has there been any indication of who our opponent will be, or when it will take place?
