Jamison Battle is averaging 18.5 points 6 boards 1+ steals per game.
He's shooting the same 36+% from 3 as he did last year, but now making 60% of his 2s, and has already made more 2s in 10 games in 2020 then his All Freshman team 2019-20 season.
He's 8th in points produced (advanced stat) 11th in win shares and 4th in the A10 in scoring.
Bishop is averaging 20 points and 6 assists. He's #1 in Points produced per game, #1 in 2s made, 2nd in the A10 in both scoring and #2 in assists per game, he's #1 in the nation in SQ points created "Players creating the most points in all of NCAA by total passing and shooting All Passes tracked + All Shots = Total SQ Points Created"
He's #3 in offensive win shares and #8 in Win Shares.
A dynamic duo of Sophomores to build around.

thats insane...def going to be covering these guys a lot in run up to 2021 draft!

What's insane is talk of Battle and Bishop leaving early to declare for this year's NBA draft.
Is dude now using another name (as of yesterday) to support his views?
Let's beat a few good teams before we talk of all GW's "one and dones"!

Agreed Joel. Almost zero chance Bishop and Battle are in the 2021 NBA Draft (and very likely not the 2022 either). Best chance for both would be to stay and develop with an eye towards 2023 or 2024. It's sheer lunacy to even think about 2021.

If he continues to shine, it may make sense for Battle to test NBA draft waters, as many others have done, to get the name out and learn more about the process.

That's different than staying in the Draft which is what I interpreted the post to mean.

Sometimes players will declare for the draft knowing that they will not get drafted, then pull their names in time to resume their college careers. They do so, among other reasons, to get an objective critique as to what aspects of their game needs further development to become serious draft candidates.

With Battle’s defensive weakness, he probably needs to shoot well over 45% from three to get a serious look from the NBA. Or transform his body and improve his defense as much as he has his offense this year.

It may be premature, but can see if Jamison does those things FQ says, he could have a shot.
To head into Garino and Yuta territory, defense is a large part and while understanding FQ's good points, Jamison tries on defense, even competing inside. 3 and helped all our recent guys get to the NBA.
So if he can develop defensively, with a consistent 3 point shot and some of his new offensive skills, hopefully he can be an NBA prospect by the end of his senior year, which would be the time to leave GW.
In the meantime, it's been very impressive how Jamison, who loves 3 pointers and in most games hasn't been given the ball in good position enough, has been willing to develop his game. It's a good example and Jamison should be commended for that.

And of course, BM and LSF make a good point about testing the waters at some point and still wanting to return.
If it's even in the discussion, then it means that Jamison is doing quite well this season, which is good for us.
