Sloppy play with all the turnovers. Cannot see the game so I don't know what type of defense we're playing. Is it all man-to-man?
Pretty much all man-to-man. I wouldn't say Towson has gotten easy buckets. We've missed a few 3s and Towson has done a good job of doubling the ball on the pick and roll and we have been sloppy trying to pass out of it.
We've also let the shot clock go down to the point where JNJ has just had to launch a contested 3. I think we can come back in the game if we clean up the turnovers. We're certainly not being "outplayed" by Towson. Just a little bad luck so far.

Mason down 22-20 to Navy at the half.
St. Joe's down 45-43 to Bradley at the half.
UMASS only up 36-33 to UMASS Lowell at the half.
We're not the only A-10 team starting off sluggish.

How's the new coaches "in game" coaching. Is he letting them play or is their some structure in the offence? Thanks

Definitely not as structured as Lonergan but you can tell something is going on unlike last year where Mazzula just dribbled around for 25 seconds. Like I said earlier, once we can calm down our early season jitters I think we will have something to work with. Jameer Nelson Jr. looks great and has had a couple of dunks early (one on a fast break and one on an uncontested drive to the bucket).

Mezie is still thinking two or three steps ahead. Lots of shuffle in his feet. Almost needs to take a deep breath before doing anything on offense. Also needs to make his FTs.

Needs to work on ball security. 6 TOs in 24 minutes is not ideal...

Towson doing a good job rattling our freshman pg. Forcing turnovers, can't get into anything in the halfcourt.

If we have an offensive game plan, it is not apparent to me

If the offensive game plan involves making 3 point shots, we need to go to plan B

Getting blown out now. Ugh!

Well all the optimism I had that we'd clean up our early jitters has disappeared. Not seeing us doing anything better in the 2nd half than the 1st.

Seems like a lot of the plan on offense is just to JNJ make things happen. Right now it's working less often than it's not working.

I read somewhere that Bousley (who is in charge of the offense) wants to run a lot of pick and rolls. Seems like we are not handling Towson's pressure well at all which does not bode well for conference play.

It's the first game, on the road, and with a freshman PG. I don't think what you see today is what you'll see in January/February - especially if Amir Harris gets eligible.

well, the thing about this offense is the green light from three can bring you back into the game quickly. Back-to-back from Jack, but unfortunately an open look from JNJ to make it three straight doesn't fall.

66-49 Towson..I thought we fired Mojo??? (I kid, I kid).
