George Mason at Maryland 7 Big 10 Network - After the GW win, Maryland also struggled with Vermont over the weekend. George Mason has won their first 3 games of the season, blowout wins over Stony Brook, Penn and Morgan State.
Boston College at Rhode Island 6 CBS Sportsnetwork
La Salle at Delaware 7
VCU at Vanderbilt 8 SEC Network

Mason, like another George team, leads Maryland by 1 at the half.

Mason up 10 on UMD with 13 minutes left. Maybe UMD isn't really all that great and/or Mason is in for a very nice season.

Mason is currently getting with Kim English what we thought we were getting with JC

agreed!! We'll see how things play out as the season goes on, but it appears as if all the hype about Kim English is justified.
Three of George Mason's transfers(Schwartz, Gaines and Cooper) are having big games tonight in College Park

Congrats to Mason on the win. First win against a ranked team since 2007.
I wonder how they're able to get their transfers to play so well together? I thought it takes multiple games to figure it out.

Also not sure what is going on at Dayton. Got blown out by Lipscomb.

The good news is St Joe loses to Drexel and LaSalle circling the drain vs Delaware so maybe we contend for that coveted 10th place 1st round bye

That was also George Mason's first win ever against Maryland, they had been 0-9. Maryland also has a game against Richmond. What was Turgeon thinking? Maybe he should have stuck with scheduling VMI and Mount St.Mary's!!
GW0509, 2 of George Mason's transfers played under(and may have been recruited by) Kim English previously. 'The Ticket' Gaines played under Kim English at Tennessee, and Schwartz played under K. English at Colorado

Well, well .. guess that "good loss" to Maryland isn't looking so good now.
Couldn't agree more with GW0509 about transfers and their ability to play together.

Rhode Island beats BC and VCU beats Vandy
These power 5 wins are always good
the VCU game was an incredible 48-37 score. looks like a typical Vandy SEC football loss of a score.
Mason is going to be good this year.
Matt Painter has a legit NCAA title contender this year. 15 NCAA Tourney wins at Purdue.
180–109 in Big10 Play. What a great run at Purdue, only 51. Another guy rewarded heavily for staying put, has turned down multiple bluest blood offers. Star of this team is Jaden Ivey a likely top 5 NBA pick, son of a WNBA Mom and NFL Dad

Jaden Ivey might be the best pro prospect, but to me the star is Zach Edey. He is worth watching Purdue every time they are on. He is HUGE. I believe 7,4”, and big, like at least 300 pounds, but can move. . He gets every rebound and is great at keeping the ball up high instead of bringing it down on putbacks, post catches, and defensive rebounds. He’s still a little raw, but he still dominates in about 20 min per game.
And what makes them so scary is that when Edey goes to the bench, Trevion Williams comes in. He could be first team all Big 10 without foul trouble, and yet he comes off the bench behind Edey.
But seriously, if you watch a Purdue game, you won’t be able to take your eyes off Edey.

Edey continues a run of enormous sized guys, Painter has had at least one on every team for years and sometimes two at a time. Guys like Haas and Haarms.
The amazing thing about Edey, he can actually jump. Really quick too for a guy that size.

Been saying this for years. Turgeon can't coach and has zero on the ball management. His teams have stupid amounts of talent and squeak into the tourney only to lose in the first weekend most of the time. This won't be the only dumb loss. Passing along the perimeter and then chucking up a 3 in the final 5 seconds can only get you so far.

"This is our fourth win against a team that will finish at the top of their league," head coach Kim English said. "That's the most important thing. I saw something in the media where they said it was a big game for us. Our guys know that's the complete opposite of what we preach. We didn't prepare for Maryland any differently than we did Stony Brook, Penn, Morgan State. Our standard is our standard. I'm really proud of our guys. It keeps us on track with our goals. It's a quality road win."

UMass MBB are on CBSSN today, tomorrow and Sunday in the Jersey Mike's Classic.
11/18 - 5:30 vs Weber State, 2 - 0 with a 4 point win over Duquense in Pittsburgh.
11/19 - 3 pm vs UNC Greensboro, 3-0 with wins over 2 MEAC teams and Northern Ky.
22?21 - 2:30 vs Ball State, 1 - 1.
It would be nice for the league if they could win at least a couple of games.
Minutemen started their season down 15 -2 to UMBC at home. Rallied to only down 4 at the half and won going away. Then they got a beat down in New Haven from good, well-coached Yale. And a good win at home against Penn State. They welcome another old friend, Rutgers, in Dec; plus UMass Lowell on Thanksgiving Eve.

Davidson and St. Bonaventure are also participating in OOC tournaments that start today. Davidson is actually playing right now, I guess they started at noon eastern.
Davidson vs. New Mexico State right now on ESPNU - This is part of the Myrtle Beach Invitational, it looks like Oklahoma is also in this event. I'll find the other teams playing in this later.
#22 St. Bonaventure vs. Boise State 2:00 ESPN2 - This is part of the Charleston Classic. Clemson, Temple, Ole Miss, Marquette, Elon and West Virginia also in this event, so St. Bonaventure has the chance to pick up some BCS wins and gets some national attention. This could be similar to Dayton two years ago when they made a lot of noise in an early season OOC tournament.
