Case in point on Bamisile defense. Got beat twice on the same play on the baseline, allowing Lasalle layup. You play defense with your legs, Joe, not your arms.

Up 4 with 43 seconds left. Still well within Fa**field range.

Got beat twice on same possession

Please tell me Bamisile didn't just foul the 3 point shooter.

Terrible D. 4 point play. Ugh!

First time in two years we can we’ve won 3 of 4. Lots to unpack here from 13 treys to 20 offensive boards given up 19 assists on 28 made baskets. Whew!

Hail to the Buff! Hail to the Blue!!!
Rarely does a team put in its worst defensive performance of the season and come away with a win. Great FT shooting, great 3pt shooting and good ball movement tonight.

We did not win “going away’”

Kerr. "GW wins it going away". Huh?

50% from field. 59% 3pt shooting, 20-25 80% from foul line and win by 2?! Wow.

But we won

19 assists and 9 turnovers. Great improvement.

Other than the rebounding, which is obviously a big problem, I don’t think the defense was that bad. La Salle played very well and only shot 44%. The offense was the best I’ve seen in years. Fun game to watch!

Another good game by Dean. 5 blocks!

Nice! Pretty crisp until the end. Bamisile giveth (70% from 3) and taketh away (phantom 4-point play). Dean is officially a force. Bishop shines again but blows the cover with a missed FT. And of course we leave LaSalle with a chance for a buzzer beating winner.

A few observations:
1. Dean had a very nice game but regressed to the mean on rebounding. Too often I found myself asking him not to close out on 3s so he could stay under the basket to rebound. Lasalle must've had 20+ points off of offensive boards. Also, I want him to post up and shoot at least once or twice a game so the defender has to guard him at least a little. On a better note, his defense has really taken a step up. Leaps and bounds better than earlier in the season.
2. Nothing needs to be said about how well we shot the ball. Joe Bam and Bishop were on fire.
3. Qwanzi hit a couple of 3s early in the game and then slowed down big time. If he can hit that at a decent rate we should look for that. Could be a game changer
4. Pretty awful rebounding night. Was the main reason Lasalle had any chance in the game. If we box out better we win by double-digits easily
5. We have real trouble with pick-and-roll defense. Too often Hutner gets caught out near the 3-point line and is often not fast enough to track back to his man. That sets off a domino effect which often leads to the opponent swining the ball and taking an open shot
6. Shoutout to Brayon for having a very nice game. 7 assists and 1 TO is fantastic
One question: Is Ricky Lindo still a little banged up? I'm surprised he's not starting/playing more.
All in all, very pleased we're walking away with a win.
