Thoughts on the next Coach candidates?
Preferences?
Grasso? A top assistant?

It brings me no pleasure to say this, I thought he was a good candidate in 2019 too, but
… JT3
Runs a structured offense like everyone wants and he was a winner.
Ok I’ll go excuse myself now.

Not sure if he's interested now that he's with the Knicks' organization, but Mike Hall should be on the staff.

That would certainly be interesting!
Just same names of guys who have to be looking to move back up from current position
Karl Hobbs
Rick Pitino
And on the risers...
Shaheen Holloway
Grasso
Dennis Gates
Richie Riley
Pasternak
Matt Langel

Andrew Toole to the mix
Whats next for Karl Hobbs??

Bashir Mason intriguing
Not intriguing...just like 4 years ago...Joe Dooley
Also, can we get a Coach that has tied to international recruiting? What better way to win at GW
4 international players on the Richmond rotation stood out yesterday

I seem to remember a post from you lamenting coaches who got fired then come back to the schools that fired them.

I'm a fan, how's Georgetown done without him??
Would never happen but worth a name mention...like Pitino and Hobbs

Could GW get Cuonzo Martin? He just got fired from Missouri. A lot of people thought it was unjustified. He is a midwest/west coast guy. So not sure he would come to DC. But i don't know if another BCS program will hire him as a head coach at this moment.

Not only are you excused, but you can go sit in your room while the rest of us eat dessert, young man.
It would be interesting to see how people here reacted if GW hired the Fruit of Satan´s Loins while That School Down the Street hired a certain former GW coach with an NIT title to his name. Many heads would explode, I suspect.

St Bonnie cupboard is completely bare - all 5 starters were seniors, and their bench played, literally, the fewest minutes in the country.
Mark Schmidt.
And if they hired JTIII, it might be the end of my season tickets. Hiring the spawn of Georgetown would be a slap in the face to all the loyal fans.

Dunno about that, but I could see Mizzou hiring Kim English, which would hurt us by putting us in competition with GMU.

Folks at both Cal and Mizzu are not sorry to have let him go. College Park CC might be an option for him, but I don´t see GW´s environment (like having zero budget and actually expecting players to attend academically challenging classes, and pass them) as being one he would succeed at. Actually, that environment rules out many of the names being impusively tossed out right now.

3 Archetypes:
1. The Young Coach who has won big at a very small school (this was the Jarvis background from Boston University)
2. The top assistant from a winning program (this was the Karl Hobbs background)
3. A veteran Coach who is available (This is the Tom Penders background)
I'd rank those in order...1-2-3.
Someone like Pitino is going to win anywhere but how many veteran Coaches have moved down a level and had success? (this includes even the great Jarvis who went to Florida Atlantic and went 76–112 46–57
and also guys like Paul Hewitt at Mason and a host of other examples.
My own preference would almost always be from Category #1.

GW - Premium beer taste. Domestic beer money.
GW Fans - Champagne taste. Alligator arms reaching for wallet.
And the beat goes on.

Here's another name for the mix:
Jeff Boals
replaced Pikiell at Stony Brook, now at Ohio.
