The only originals left are GW, UMASS and Duquesne.
For those who may not know, this conference once included among its conference members Villanova, Pitt, West Virginia, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Penn State and of course, Temple, Xavier, and for one season, Butler. Hope I haven't left out anybody.

Would be nice if both Davidson and Loyola Chicago get wins today and the conference can then be 3-0. What a great get Loyola is for the conference, who in addition to Loyola has added in the 21st century Richmond, VCU, Davidson, St. Louis and for one season Butler. All very solid programs with good histories, allowing a conference that has been pillaged by bigger conferences over the years to remain viable.
It would be 3-0 vs the big 10, too.

Here is the year of entry for each team in the A10, listed in the order they finished this year:
1. Davidson, 2014
2. VCU, 2012
3. Dayton, 1995
4. St. Bonaventure, 1979
5. St. Louis, 2005
6. Richmond, 2001
7. GW, 1976
8. Fordham, 1995
9. George Mason, 2013
10. UMass, 1976
11. Rhode Island, 1980
12. La Salle, 1995
13. St. Joseph's, 1982
14. Duquesne, 1976
I didn't remember Dayton joining so early, or Fordham and La Salle so late (all in 1995), but the trend is still clear. Of the 5 teams that have entered the A10 this century, 4 finished in the top 6 this year. The one thing the A10 has done very well is to invite good programs into the conference to replace those poached by the power conferences.

Yes, Charlotte (2005-2013) is the only team he missed.

What a win for the league and what a great job Mooney has done at Richmond.
Fickle fans crying for his head a few years ago, typical shenanigans.
Congrats To Mojo and staff on an NCAA Tourney win.
