From the video I've seen he looks like a shorter Bo Zeigler. High energy around the basket and seems to have some back to the basket post moves as well.
Obviously hope he's not the "signature" signing this summer but could be a very valuable piece. Definitely could have used his energy around the rim this past year!

Southeast Louisiana transfer Gus Okafor tells me that Wichita State, George Washington, Miami (OH), and Eastern Kentucky are the latest schools to reach out.

Thats sure looks like a charter. Signal of some changes?

That looks like a private jet (which you can also charter)

Gulfstream. Maybe a G300. We're moving up in the world!

So good to see on so many levels.

Frontcourt additions would be a good start!

I’ve already seen two people critical of the “optics” of him flying private.
We’ve been a poverty program for too long.

If you really want to question the use of university funds, start with why $70,000 was spent on a search firm when the leading candidate from the outset was already known. That's a far more germane question than why our new coach gets to fly privately to his press conference.

Johns experience at Michigan was a bit like Lindo's was at Maryland. Promising freshman who played a bit but largely needed to wait his turn, only to be surpassed by new arrivals on the depth chart. I would be very excited to see him in a GW uniform.

Oh to be around to read and hear the reactions if the alleged “leading” candidate for the job was named on the Tuesday after Christian’s dismissal. After all, word was that he was the leading candidate supposedly wired for the job without consideration of any other potential candidate out there. Hard to imagine that the school with a purported $2.2 billion endowment and a program under fire for successive under performance could possibly scrounge up $70,000 to conduct a “national” or even just merely beyond gwhoops posts search.

Actually, both are germane.
The search firm seemed to wind up with the obvious candidate. Wondering if it is a cover your butt thing
for universities to do. Sure seems like a waste of money, a colossal one if $70,000. Thought it was a lot less.
Optics really not great outside this board and college basketball world. A not happy reference or two on the plane from non-basketball fans could spark a small backlash, but the good news is no one really cares about GW basketball.
Would seem to be more of a hassle for university officials to line up (though not for the coach) if he is in Miami or Orlando (where he was recruiting) as both have (or used to anyway) numerous commercial flights daily to here.
Perhaps it was done to symbolize to recruits GW basketball is moving up. Or he took less money for something like this.

His wife is a lobbyist. For all we know she is the one with the NetJets account and CC/GW was taking pics like high school kids do in front of their parent’s car.
We can judge whether it was a waste of money when we see how the players are traveling this season.
Right now it’s much ado about nothing.

Its amazing how GW fans make a positive day into something controversial . Just enjoy today!

Brandon Murray to Georgetown.

I am sure the University faculty and staff facing layoffs and pay cuts are going to be happy to see that picture. Tuition-paying parents will probably be thrilled, too.

Let's make up our minds. If someone posts a picture of the team boarding a chartered flight to URI, is the reaction here going to be "it's about time" or "what a waste of money"? Or, is it cool when the team does it but far less cool when the coach and his wife charter a flight?
It's hard to reconcile bitching away over the school investing so little in its basketball program and then getting all upset when it starts to keep up with the Joneses.

Do we actually know who paid for the flight or are just pissing in the wind?
