How does that work when he's torching us for 30 and 10 in the Smith Center for a team that traditionally plays football on the hardwood? I'm as respectful as the next guy but not sure this would qualify for any respect/support whatsoever.
Yes, I'm bitter.

This isn't meant to be critical or anything, but has anyone ever seen a player post a pic of themselves in a team's jersey before they make the announcement official or even put out a list of schools they are choosing from? I know 5-star high school recruits get pictured in school jersey's of teams that are recruiting them but I'm not sure I've seen something like this. I don't think Rhode Island was even on the list of schools who contacted Freeman when he first announced his transfer, St. Bonaventure, Fordham and George Mason were the A-10 schools on the list. Does Freeman have a desire to play at Rhode Island?

Does he really want to transfer to URI to be Ish Leggett’s backup? Or conversely, if he transfers to URI does Ish Leggett go back into the transfer portal?
I thought they were also in on UConn transfer Rahsool Diggins so all in all a weird fit for Brayon.

My guess: Is CC really sitting around for freeman to make up his mind? I doubt it. Take some time, tell me you’re staying, or I’m moving on. So we’re moving on. Brayon now doing his thing.

Brayon to Rhody official:
Also Archie is now Public Enemy #1. Total scumbag move. What a shady mf’er.

well that just sucks

I’m all for allowing waivers for players not to have to sit a year to transfer after a coach leaves. But I’m not in favor of it within the conference. I hope Brayon does well except against GW. And he should have to redshirt a year. I know those aren’t the rules anymore, but that’s lousy all around.

Coaching change should allow players to transfer without penalty. In or out of conference should make no difference. ‘22-23 Colonials will be Caputo’s team.

Sucks that he’s going to a conference rival, but that’s the way it goes now when you fire a coach. He’s going to be a star for them and hopefully we get some good news in the transfer portal.
Also the only ones who need to show class are grown men blasting a kid on a message board for their choice of college Bryson did nothing wrong.

Disagree-never to young (with adult supervision) to do the right thing.I’m sure he could have had a myriad
of choices. He must know this would cause consternation,at least,at GW.Again,no class.Where are the adults here?

How does this make sense from Brayon's perspective?
Rhode Island not a step or down. No challenge or promotion/opportunity to shine more.
Academics worse.
Kingston,Rhode Island not a big city. Not the easiest way for let's say, very involved family, to visit, except drive, compared to other location by flights/train.
Outside of living away from home in general, what would make this attractive?

Give the kid a break. Maybe he's got a girlfriend there. Maybe he likes the water better. Is he even 20 yet?

His high school coach is the AC.

LOL of course not but it explains his seemingly random connection to URI

Yes it does.

If I recall correctly, one of URI´s sponsors is an oyster bar. So maybe he prefers oysters to hand-tailored suits? Could be. (Also, they have a big newish arena and one of their former players was not only a star in the NBA but also a star on unscripted-- or "reality"-- television).
I say cheer him when he is first introduced at the Smith Center, then boo him every time he touches the ball.
