Not sure how reliable this database is, but here are GW student athletes with NIL deals: https://nilcollegeathletes.com/universities/george-washington-university

Only MBB player on the list is Laziz Talipov.

I didn't download the link as I got a "dangerous website" warning, but when GW played Mason in Fairfax, I saw a person in the crowd wearing a Bishop jersey.  Wouldn'tt that mean he has some kind of NIL deal?

That’s awesome. But, I believe that you have an obligation to now pay Mr. Bishop a licensing fee.  😬
I made an account just to post this. Im the kid with the Bishop jersey, he does not have an NIL deal I made it myself

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but Primo Spears from Duquesne and Yuri Collins from SLU both entered the portal this afternoon. Both will be big losses for the A10. Maybe we can make a run at Spears??? I imagine Collins will go to a power 5 school

Earl Timberlake to Bryant.

Jared Grasso is like the NCAA version of Pat Riley.  Straight transfer portal gangster.

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Very interesting. You would think he would choose Caputo and GW if there was interest  . Must be a story there. My guess is we never truly went after him. Have to trust his former assistant coach on this one.

Hmm.   I was hoping for that one.

It’s tough to see all these good players going to rivsls without any news yet. There’s still tons of players out there, so not worried.  I just hope Caputo doesn’t set his sights too low… and can win battles for the type of players it takes to recruit here.

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Its hard to tell who he's after because he doesn't seem to follow recruits on twitter and without a staff there is nobody else to troll

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Che Evans back in the portal.

He transferred earlier this season from SDSU to UTEP. I wonder if he ever actually stepped foot on UTEP’s campus?

We recruited him back in the day.  From Bal'mer.

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

According to Jeff Goodman's tweet down below, Tony Bergeron, the high school coach UMass hired to get Tre Mitchell and a bunch of his teammates from a New England prep school a few years back(I think he's Mitchell's step father too or dating his mother), is still trying to package himself with Mitchell to get another assistant coaching position! A commenter(Rhody Vault) to Goodman's tweet wrote that Archie Miller has been talking with T.Mitchell for about 3 weeks and Archie is attempting to create a "player development" position for Burgeron, so maybe Mitchell will end up at Rhode Island as FQ pointed out.

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Can't imagine what Frank Martin is doing, if Archie Miller is actually doing things like this.

Re: 2022 Transfer Targets

Frank Martin brought in 2 of his former players from South Carolina(TaQuan Woodley and Wildens Leveque) and a transfer guard from UConn, and as of now, he's convinced high scoring guard Noah Fernandes to stay, so they should be very good(on paper at least) in his first year. At South Carolina he seemed to bring in mostly unheralded players who played hard but weren't quite good enough to compete with the "big dogs" in the SEC consistently. I'm not sure how much cheating he did at South Carolina but Archie Miller is a totally different story,,just look at his brother! LOL

Having Frank Martin and Archie Miller coaching in the A10 raises the talent level and name recognition of the A10 so that's a positive even if they could be up to some shady activity when it comes to recruiting.

Brandon Johns to VCU.  Ouch.   A10 gonna be a 4-5 bid league again this year, or soon.
