So it looks like Kenner League is back this summer July 2 - August 7.
The thread indicates that coaches can attend this year.

It's baaaack:
The Kenner League will return to McDonough Gymnasium July 2 to August 7. All team/player should be sent to dcprocitykennerleague@gmail.com.

Coaches were not present last year?

Head coaches have historically not been allowed to attend Kenner or summer league games in general. Just another example of the NCAA's archaic policing of the sport. Can't possibly have any coaching going on during the summer. Perhaps someone with the NCAA made it out to a summer league game and concluded that there really is no advantage to having a coach in the building after all.
This rule has either been relaxed more recently or was outright changed.

The rule was that coaches are not allowed, but the Georgetown coach is always there, I saw Hobbs there hiding behind a large popcorn watching his recruits and Larranaga and a young Caputo (I think) were there loudly cheering on a GMU team.

nobody was present last year iirc.

A long time ago (when I was a student) coaches could attend but could not "talk" with the players. As you can imagine, in the small gym with small groups of people who all knew each other that was as enforceable as mask mandates and social distancing at a COVID "truthers" January 6 party. I assume this mass "violation" of the oh-so-logical NCAA rules led to the coaches eventually becoming non grata-- something about babies and bathwater.

In the past, I've seen coaches hanging out in the lobby just outside the gym. Guys there to support their players even though they couldn't be inside watching. Always found it laughable when JT II sat on his throne across the gym with the various JT III players coming up to him before, during and after games, since JT III was technically ineligible. Leave it to those fuckers to circumvent virtually any rule on their turf.

Well said, especially the last sentence which is truly apt.
But memory serves JTIII stopped lurking around and started attending openly too, along with King Dad.
So Lonergan came as well, backed up with sound justification from GW.

The Kenner League starts in 2 days, July 2nd and their twitter site put out the schedule for Saturday's games. No rosters at the moment but those of you who have gone to or followed the Kenner League through the years should recognize some of the team names. There's also a new team with an interesting name, 'Call Your Mother.'

Thanks for the info!! I thought it was some sort of trolling phrase by an individual who put his team in the Kenner League! LOL I googled the bagel place and saw they first opened in 2018, so I was completely unfamiliar with them. I know Tombs and Clyde's are also D.C. food establishments.

So I saw some roosters posted on the Kenner League Twitter, but didn't see many GW players listed. Hopefully the rosters are still a work in progress.

Per GWMBB tweet, Noel Brown will be playing for Higher Level

Be interesting to see if CC can unlock Noel's still somewhat raw potential.

I've been thinking the same thing. He could be a power house with the right coaching. Nothing is more dangerous than a center who can ball. I'm looking for Brown to play a more offensive role this year.

did anybody make it out to see the higher level game? Apparently Noel played well per the Kenner League Twitter

Here's a recap of the Higher Level game. Noel is mentioned around the 4 minute mark.

Thank you for the link. Great hearing nice things about Noel, who sounded like he was played off the game. Also glad he was playing effectively at high post as well as low, and defending
