Akinjo appears to be in the clear.

The WP needs to put super sleuth reporter Adam Kilgore on this story.
Is he still at the WP?

You are right about not finding glee in the Ge**getown situation, but it is like watching someone fall on their butt for no reason. Our mature, adult self knows it is not funny, but sometimes you just can’t help but laugh. Ge**getown always had an “our shit don’t stink attitude towards GW, so there will always be some joy whenever anything bad happens to their program, be it when they lose to NC Greensboro or because stars have to transfer away in a manner that reflects poorly on their program.

Good point, given their smugness.
Is there any real reporting on this? The information so far has been revealed on message boards

It looks like Georgetown is going to play tonight's game at Oklahoma State with Galen Alexander and Myron Gardner(the 2 players who had a Temporary Restraining Filed Against them) and Patrick Ewing coaching. I thought Georgetown was going to take some sort of action against Ewing and the 2 players because of all the backlash they were getting, not necessarily for the allegations against the players. But the local media scrutiny has lessened(all the local news stations had a reporter stationed at Georgetown the night/next morning that this happened) today, and maybe Georgetown thinks they can go back to business as usual.
It's also interesting to see the Georgetown posters go back and forth about the seriousness of the court order filed by the female student. The die-hards seem to have the "Anyone Can File A Temporary Restraining Order, They Are Innocent Until Proven Guilty." While others are horrified that 3 of their players are accused of such terrible things(sexual harassment, violence and burglary!!) and wants Georgetown to take action against the players.
Looking through twitter, I found a comment from a person who claimed that Ewing made a comment about James Akinjo's dead mother, which may have played a big role in his transfer. This is it down below

I've probably disliked Georgetown as much as most, but I try to reserve the bulk of my hate for Thompson, since he was the one who started it. I've always had a fond place in my heart for Georgetown women.
Also Thomas, I would think that Georgetown has to sort out what occurred and then perhaps punish the bad guys. Not sure that Ewing is at fault here.

There's a bit too much possible wrongdoing here (sexual assault, violence, theft, threats, Ewing's alleged comment) for Georgetown to collectively think it can sweep this under the rug and it will be ignored or forgotten. As we know, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Not always, but usually.

I agree with this. The local media's coverage has died down, but I don't see how Georgetown can play the rest of their season(which includes a lot of nationally televised games) with Galen Alexander and Myron Gardner(and maybe even Ewing) with these allegations hanging over the program.
The F@#K YOU ALL, I'M GONNA DO THINGS MY WAY arrogance may have worked for Big John in the 1980's when there was no social media and a somewhat submissive media, but today is a much different time. I just saw a comment on their board claiming that Akinjo's camp is putting out negative information about Patrick Ewing on various social media sites. The guy who tweeted about Ewing's alleged comment to Akinjo about his deceased mother probably heard it about from someone connected to Akinjo.

Well, transferring to GW would be a great way for Akinjo to stick it to Ewing.
But I’m sure he’ll transfer back home to the west coast.

Adam Zagoria @AdamZagoria 40s
Terrance Williams decommits from Georgetown adding to Patrick Ewing’s nightmare week
He is a 4 star F ranked 69th nationally (nice) and #4 in the @PrepHoopsMD 2020 rankings.
Terrance Williams currently plays for Gonzaga and plays for Team Takeover in AAU.
Could Nima work his TTO magic???

I guess you can say Georgetown had some good PR(amongst their fan base) since they won their game at Oklahoma State. Winning games will temporarily trump the bad feelings, and that may be one of Georgetown's best wins of the year.
A recent development in the NBA could also effect Georgetown, as the Knicks fired head coach David Fizdale. With Fizdale out, it's possible that the Knicks could turn to Patrick Ewing to be the coach at some poin. There's already a thread on the Georgetown board about P.Ewing taking the Knicks job. Ewing taking the Knicks job would be an easy way for Georgetown to move on from this potential scandal because they wouldn't have to fire Ewing if he just leaves.
GW0509, it's definitely worth a shot since Terrance Williams is local and GW has a Team Takeover guy as an assistant, but T.Williams appears to have been destined for a BCS school since he was 12 or 13!! I believe he has started all 4 years at Gonzaga, and any freshman who is good enough to start for a WCAC school, has probably been getting BCS interest before they even started high school.

The other two players involved in the temporary restraining order, Galen Alexander and Myron Gardner, are also transferring out.

Big Props to Ewing that the team has played so well since the news broke, frankly they've played better.
I realize that's a lot of talent lost, but maybe the rare case of addition by subtraction.

Galen Alexander isn't leaving Georgetown quietly. He actually ripped Georgetown and the accuser(BY NAME) on twitter. I've posted this down below. G.Alexander seems to be going with the 'She's Mad Because I Dumped Her/Wouldn't Go Out With Her' defense. Georgetown will now play the rest of the season with just 7 scholarship players. Georgetown hosts Syracuse tomorrow afternoon at the Verizon-MCI-Capital One Centre!! This will be their first home game since the news of the transfers and Temporary Restraining Orders broke.

Georgetown let Callen Oki single handedly destroy a program because she’s a spoiled brat that couldn’t handle rejection and that’s the truth behind the story. Very unfortunate.

I saw someone on Twitter suggest Georgetown should reach out to former Colonial DJ Williams as he is second semester eligible and currently not committed anywhere.
Offline
This DJ Williams thing is kinda odd. As a 5 th year senior he should have had immediate eligibility, yet he didn’t sign anywhere. I had so heard that his reason for leaving GW was due to health issues with a family member, but that mat doesn’t seem to be the case. Bottom line is he should be pkaying somewhere this season and is not. He could have helped this years offensively challenged Colonials.

I referenced Jim Boeheim's post-game press conference comments(after Georgetown beat Syracuse) in which he ripped James Akinjo, I found the video of his comments and decided to post them here. Boeheim's comments on James Akinjo, Galen Alexander and Myron Gardner include, "2 Of The Guys Didn't Contribute Much and That Other Guy Was Just Throwing The Ball Up All The Time...I Watched Them Play 3 Games, And He Lost 2 Games By Himself, Patrick Can't Say That But I Can...If We Would Have Played Them Earlier In The Year, We Would Have Won The Game" The link I posted may automatically skip to the part where Jim Boeheim makes these comments, but if it doesn't, Boeheim's comments begin at the 17:40 mark.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach do something like this before in which he trashes the departed players on the opposing team, especially players who he could play against in the near future. Patrick Ewing and Georgetown must be happy that Jim Boeheim said what they couldn't!! I'm guessing Boeheim knows he'll be retiring soon, so he doesn't Give A F@#K, and will say whatever he wants!!
