Brayon and Bamisile

Just took a look at Brayon and Joe, wondering if either regret their decisions. Brayon has finally started to get more minutes after sitting around 15-20 for the first four games of the year. He's put up 33 and 38 minutes in the last two with 21 points in each (21 and 20 FG attempts!). He's got three assists to just 2 turnovers in that span. That's a LOT of shots. Rhode Island, as you all know, is 2-5.

Joe is on a team playing good ball at 6-1; but he's playing just ten minutes a game, with his time  going in the wrong direction.

Think either of them regret leaving?

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

Possible for Brayon.

With the actual coaching this year, discipline, and less free styling hoops play, Joe may have had issues.  But that is just an observation on viewing JC's GW team vs CC's team.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

I would say "not in the slightest" for Brayon.  If we're looking for on-court signs, Archie Miller sat him for a game, calling it a reset, and Brayon has come back very strong ever since.  Off the court, Brayon could not help but think of JC's dismissal as a betrayal.  The two knew one another going back to the 7th or 8th grade.  Brayon could have been playing at a major program but instead chose "relationship over pedigree."  He was as good as gone once JC was released, and the fact that he ended up at another A10 school is anywhere from a happy coincidence to a well calculated move (playing for Archie Miller with the bonus of getting to go up against GW annually).

Not going to get too deep into the weeds with Joe.  Suffice it to say that he is an incredibly talented young man (off the court as well as on it) who has had trouble finding contentment.  Am very sorry to see that he is playing so little at Oklahoma, and wish both he and Brayon nothing but the best.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

First things first.  What a great win last night!  Recognizing that there is rarely, if ever, a perfect game in basketball (typically, the other team will score!), nothing to nitpick this morning.  Enjoy the ride folks.

FWIW, On3.com tracks NIL valuation and below is JB number at a shade below 17k and BF has nothing listed.  I'm in no position to assess the accuracy, but they are the most prominent site attempting to evaluate valuation and an additional link to their process is linked as well.  They noted in earlier postings that car dealers are featuring prominently in deals--and less with appearances as opposed to giving the player a set of wheels.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

Would have assumed that Bamisile going to Oklahoma would be premised on compensation, like
an NIL deal, etc. Seemed like an odd choice for him.
Not necessarily sorry about him leaving and hope Joe finds whatever he is looking for in life, as he is
multi-talented.
But ironically, in terms of a TV commercial, he'd be great at it.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

Per my URI nephew, the word on Freeman is "selfish", but Miller appears to be addressing that issue.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

Without any regard to last night's performances, I don't believe Caputo or the school have any regrets about the departure of the two players.

Re: Brayon and Bamisile

Most interesting contribution from LSF. Experienced coach appears to be handling it. Would like to hear more about the URI take.
As noted before, thought Brayon had something like 4 high schools in 4 years.
Whether it meant for his scholarship opportunities, not an ideal foundation for team basketball or life, or
an ideal system.
