65% shooting for Radford. Getting asses kicked. Not ready to play team. Sad

This should never happen to a team that consists almost exclusively of upper classmen.

Selfish play again.

Lindo with 3 fouls already. Normal.

Looks like we could not live up to our lofty 189 KenPom rating.

Best part of this game is that the announcers are very easy on the ears. Good stuff for a small school!
Hunter Dean has lost at least three battles for balls underneath he should’ve secured on the D end that has led to at least six Radford second chance points.

Way too many 3 pt. shots. And yes, Dean is giving up a lot of points by not securing the ball.

Radford 8 assists to our 3. Last game was good team play, not so today.

For those of you not "double screening", at the half England 2:0 Senegal. Kudos to an international school like GW for scheduling a game to go head-to-head with a knock-out round World Cup match.
Seems like this game is destined to leave GW fans somewhere between dissatisfied and pissed off. I don´t get what is wrong with moving the ball around the horn and looking for some penetration at some point, especially if the outside shots are not falling. I am also unclear why the team thinks leaving shooters unguarded and not boxing out makes for an acceptable defensive strategy.

I hope Caputo notices this. Like, hey guys, play some basic basketball.

Radford game plan is solid. On offense, they are pounding the ball inside and either scoring or getting fouled and on defense, the plan is don't let Bishop or Adams beat them. Not sure what our game plan is.

Double watching with football game, not going great, either.
But the few moments I've seen, we really got our heads up our butts. Dumb shots, hero ball,
letting Radford dominate inside. Blowing potential comebacks with hero ball.
Live by the 3, die by the 3.
Time to stop resting on the modest laurels we have and for CC to make adjustments if they will listen. And just wake up.
Still playing Radford, not Duke.

Back to Al McGuire's crucial first 5 minutes of the second half. If we are down 5 or so at the first time out, its a game. If the deficit remains 10 or greater, we are in deep trouble.

It amazes me to see a team play like this. What is practice for? It was always drilled into me that in basketball the best percentage shot was a layup. Jump shots from long range, when off, is a killer. And two, boxing out was mandatory, as was passing the ball for better shots. Let's see what the coach has in store for us in the second half.

Lindo now with 4. Someone tape his arms together on defense.

At first break, defense really picked it up enough to pull us within 6, but offense still horrible. Still waiting for Bishop and/or Adams to step it up on offense. And those damn turnovers.
Offline
Lindo played 9 minutes and has 4 fouls. Wow!
Offline
Radford getting all the layups and we are still firing from long range. That's sick.

2nd break, still down 6 Difference in game...Bishop/Adams a combined 6-20, including 2-10 from the 3
