Remarkable shooting from Yuta
He can play another decade in the league if the 3 ball is there
Breakout season for Yuta

Great Yuta performance. 12 points in the 4th quarter, leading to Nets win.
Typically humble, he says it was a "team effort" after getting a standing ovation and fans chanting his name.
Question for Barry: how do you see the YES Network in the DC area? NBA TV?

I don't watch the broadcast...I have alerts on Bleacher Report for Yuta, so I see all the highlights and such. Not a big NBA fan, but am a bit Yuta fan, so it's kind of perfect. I see all of his highlights and pretty much every interview. I suppose I misspoke about watching the YES broadcast (as opposed to the YES highlights).

Pretty happy for this kid. All hard work and joy for the game.

The most encouraging thing about Yuta's performance last night is that Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons were both starting and playing 30+ minutes, yet Yuta still played 25 minutes, scored 16 points and was on the floor to close out the game. Yuta has now scored in double figures for 4 straight games. It looks like he's now established himself as an important part of the team moving forward. Claxton didn't play last night but I don't see how they can go back to limiting Yuta's playing time at this point, the great 3-point shooting and defense is too valuable.
About being able to watch Yuta and the Nets, since they are a high-profile team, a lot of their games will be on ESPN/ABC, NBATV or TNT, it seems like they are on national television at least twice a week. So those of us who don't have access to the YES Network or NBA League Pass, we can still watch him on somewhat of a regular basis.

So, how much did Yuta pay the guy?

I will admit to being a bit surprised by Yuta's remarkable journey. To my way of thinking, I'd have taken Pato's defense over Yuta's, and Tyler's offense over Yuta's, and neither of these players could make it work long-term in the NBA. While I am not a big NBA follower, I have read more than once that one very specialized skill, if it's that good, can earn you a spot in the league. So here is Yuta, sticking because both his defense and his outside shooting are strong enough.
Really happy for Yuta. And, I love the fact that he visited GW when the Nets were in town, particularly considering that none of the coaches who recruited him to GW or coached him while at GW remain on the staff.

Here is a cool side by side showing how Yuta's shooting form has evolved:
. It's night and day more efficient.
Hopefully CC can continue to build that relationship with Yuta because I think he's the perfect ambassador for what GW can offer an international player.

Brooklyn's game tonight at Philadelphia will be on TNT at 7:30, those of you who follow the NBA pretty closely know that Ben Simmons returning to play against the 76ers will be the dominant storyline of this game and it will get a lot of attention. This could be one of the bigger games (in terms of nationwide views) Yuta has played in as an NBA player, he has the chance to sort of introduce himself to a huge audience if he continues his excellent play.
