Bad turnovers. give up 5 in last few seconds. Crap.

Big mistakes by our two best players down the stretch. Damn shame. Hope the play strong in the OT.

Good test in OT. Gotta regroup and get it done.

I knew it would be a tough game. Hearth attack ball. We won.

it wasn't pretty but they won, and gutted it out, we haven't seen that in recent years. The team is set up well for the rest of the season. Dis anyone think we would be in 3rd place in the A10 at this point.

9-17 from foul line for St. J. Wow.

Best comment of the night by one of the announcers:
"And this is why I don't coach any more."
(When we were up 5 in regulation and Adams - after all the incredible work he did - double dribbles with 25 seconds to go).
It's just sooo nice to watch a GW game and see them (a) be competitive and (b) win.
It has been a tough few years. Things are looking up.

LSF, your role as the glass half empty person has been stolen by TC. Up - Down and around we go. Will GW break our hearts this year? Probably, but you still have to root for them.

It wasn’t pretty, but good teams find a way to win, and we did!

Huge game for Adams today. I don't remember the last time a GW player hit 7 3s in a game. Big shot out to Noel Brown and Amir Harris too. Brown had 5 offensive boards and Amir played some great defense and hit a HUGE 3 pointer.
Not sure how he did it but Bishop hit his season average. Had half his points at the FT line but great scorers get it done one way or the other.
Finally, Caputo needs to tell them not to catch the ball in the corner on the inbounds. That's so basic but they caught us with it twice and it nearly cost us the game.
All in all, a big home win where the team showed some resilience.

Wow. Lots of good stuff, so-so stuff to talk about, but the two things I’d want to ask CC after the game are:
1) when you get trapped in the corner in the final seconds and you have several timeouts, are players expected to use them? I was shocked that’s both Bishop and Max didn’t call time out at the end of regulation and OT. One may have cost us the game in regulation; the other almost cost OT.
2) What was your thinking on subbing in the final minutes of OT (or regulation for that matter)? Hunter Dean was gassed and couldn’t reach or contend for a rebound in the last two minutes of OT and could barely get up the floor. A change was made late in the OT for one defensive possession where we needed length and to give a foul. But Bunter was noticeably a problem before that. Is he still the better option over Brown—even when he seemed to be going on vapors?
Not trying to be glass half-empty— it trying to understand what I was seeing out there.

That was a lot of fun, sure, big lead games that end with big leads are better games, but something extra fun about drama filled endings and OT Wins. Good learning too, things to do, not to do again etc.
GW is 5-2 in A10 play to start the CC era
Tremendous regulation play from Adams, fantastic OT for Bishop

Followed game on my phone ESPN app. WOW. I think things are looking up. Seemed like Bishop struggled.

And Dayton goes down again.

What an up and down game. We obviously rely so much on guard play in Bishop, BA and Max. If all three are going, we are really tough to beat. But with Bishop and Max being a little off, we needed a career game from BA. Really happy for him and the season he is having. A couple of other notes:
-So great to see to see Amir thrive in the defensive specialist role. He was extremely disruptive and nice to see him hit a three. I think we all want him to look for his shot a little more. Reminds me of Regis a little, of course not as athletic. But a highly touted transfer that became a really disruptive defender. Amir's contributions are critical to our success, hope his ankle is ok.
-In listening to the CC presser, I guess I was the only one pissed off at the refs. I realize that two of the three reviews went our way, but I don't love how much it slows down the game.
-Lindo has a knack for the huge defensive play. He had a few during the Dayton game, and a big one down the stretch last night.
To survive three uncharacteristic mental mistakes from BA, Bishop and Max down the stretch is a good sign. These are games that would have been losses over the dark days of the past five years.
